Features
Inflatable flying clownfish
This flying clownfish measures approximately 4.5 feet from end to end; fill it with helium (sold separately), and it'll swim around the house! It is designed for indoor use only.
Waving fins and tail
This radio-control flying clownfish really looks like it's swimming through the air! Just like a real fish, its fins wave to move it along.
Radio control
The radio-control transmitter has a straight-line range of up 50 feet, and the signal can penetrate some walls. It controls up, down, forward, and right and left movement. It transmits on either 40 or 27 MHz.

The Remote Control Air Swimmers Flying Clownfish comes complete with everything you need to fly it, except for Helium. You will need to fill the Air Swimmers with Helium before it will fly. There are 2 options for obtaining this Helium either buy a helium canister and fill up the Air Swimmers in your own home or take the Air Swimmers to a Helium supplier. In the box there is a tether that can be used to take the Air Swimmer foil back after it is filled up with Helium. Do this before adding the electronics and fins. This item is not for use at altitudes over 4,000 feet.

Air Swimmers Extreme is exclusive to Toys 'R Us. This model is Radio Control and not to be confused with the IR version of Air Swimmers. Radio Control allows for approximately 50% longer range flying and unlike the basic IR version will still operate even without line of site!

I was getting the product for my 1 year old birthday, but it didn't arrive in time. The product is great for group fictions like birthdays, office gags ect... The fish works just like the video shows. My experience with it is dont have the AC, fans, doors, windows open and the reason being is that it is a balloon that can fly but doesn't do as well with wind at all. Cons- you have to fill with helium when you want to fly it and keep the balance almost perfect, space in your home needs to be open bc the fish is big. Not much extra tape comes with it and you may ne ed it as the fish inflates and deflates. My track came cracked and there are no parts for them so you have to replace the product at the store. Overall a very cool product and not to expensive. Helium is sold at most stores. I have the shark as well but I haven't played with it yet but wil in the near future.

This thing is absolute GARBAGE. Every piece is extremely cheap and flimsy. Then you need two people to put this thing together, because by some stroke of genius somebody thought that it would be a good idea to build this thing AFTER its inflated. its hard to hold on to for assembly and it will get away from you a couple of times, and if any piece comes into contact with the ceiling it will fall off. The instructions provided are a joke, if you actually follow them, you will be taking two or three steps back at one point because the morons failed to tell you to unloop a wire for the tail control. Double sided tape is used to hold everything together have fun taking about a half hour of your life just getting the junk apart. To hookup the wire to the tail control you need NASA like precision because the connector is so small. The remote control is unresponsive at times. On the box is says lifelike movement, well that's certainly true if its try to imitate a fish having a seizure.

I hate that I had to give this review even one star. I would probably more inclined to give it 5 turds.

These are fun for a short time, but you need a big space as they are quite large. The instructions were a little unclear a couple times and the double sided tape to hold the attachments to the balloon is not strong enough. It's a little tedious to assemble and to get the weight balance right. It's also a little pricey for what it is because you also need a $25 helium tank to fill it. We have 2 swimmers and thought one tank would be enough to fill them both, but it wasn't.

        I bought in Dec. this for my nephew for his bday in May. He has just told me that it was great--for short bursts.
        He was very careful when adding helium but the "valve" didn't hold up well making it hard to fill. When filled, it deflated in a few days.
        He wasn't even able to use one tank before giving up.
        What was once "the coolest gift" turned into an embarrassed nephew admitting the gift was a flop.
        How do I get my money back or an improved replacement? Store won't back it as too long since buying.

          "Santa" sent two of these Christmas eve. One helium tank was supposed to fill them both. The elves were mistaken and Santa had to leave one limp clown fish. :( They are fun once up and going but plan on spending some bucks on helium tanks to keep them going! I would not do these again.

            My sister and I worked on the air swimmer for 1 whole hour trying to assemble it. It took forever and there was a boat load of instructions. We finally finished and we turned it on to see if it would work. It stayed in the air for like 2 seconds, then flouted to the ground. On the instructions it said to try out new ways to make the air swimmer fly, so we did. No luck there! It just went to the ground again. We thought that maybe it didn't have enough helium so we tried to put more in... that was a disaster, because it still didn't float and it got a hole in it. We started to get frustrated. Later my mom started to help me. We still thought that it needed more air so we put more in. The hole got bigger, so we covered it with tape we still herd hissing. We finally just gave up. i would not buy this for a kid my age. It was just a disappointment!!!!!:(

            Great fun and realistic!

            These balloons are great fun! Yes, they take some assembly, and, yes, the instructions are totally lame, but my 14-year-old son put TWO of these together, by himself, in 1/2 hour. And he's not a rocket scientist. Helpful hint: keep the balloon weighted while you're assembling it -- that'll help to keep it under control(duh!). And don't use them outside ... they WILL float away (take it from someone with experience =[ ). Happy fishing!

                The pod kept falling off overnight. When it was attached (followed directions and troubleshooting to the T) it did not dive or climb consistently. Ended up being an overpriced balloon. Ashame, boys were really looking forward to using it, a big dissappointment, for us as givers of this gift and to my boys because it was not fun.

                I have an air swimmer shark made by william mark and it's better than this one from aninal planet. The parts attached to the fish are easy to fall apart. Will not recommend others to buy it made by animal planet.
