Our 3 year old got this as a Christmas gift. It hasn't worked from the time she opened the package. As soon as its turned on, horrible feedback despite changing the batteries. We've been trying to reach the manufacturer for a replacement, with no luck. Thankfully she has forgotten about this toy and stopped asking for it about a month ago.

Cute Microphone with some flaws

I like this portable microphone for my daughter because it durable, she has dropped it several time and no jewels or anything have broken off. The sing along song that plays when you dont have the ipod connected Ive never heard of so she cant sing to it. I love the way the cord hides away at the bottom when not in use but I wish there was a way for the ipod not to hang when connected.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
