This baby carrier was recommended to us by someone I now assume doesn't use it that often.

We'll start with padding, which is lacking EVERYWHERE it's needed. The padding that is there isn't really padding, it's more double thick fabric sewn together. The overall shell of the carrier doesn't need to have additional padding, but the baby seat and back rests need additional padding. Any place the child is exposed to nylon straps and plastic buckles should be padded. The edges of nylon straps, while under tension, can be very abrasive and a wiggling child should be protected against them. Being pressed up against fast-tech plastic buckles becomes very uncomfortable very quickly, these should also be padded. Now that the baby is padded, let's think about more adequately padding the entire length of the straps that cut into the adult wearer's shoulders and lats.

The hip area adjustments are poorly conceptualized. There are thick Velcro connection point overlapped by nylon straps and buckles. If you try to tighten down the straps, the area's fabric bunches around the Velcro connections. This creates irritation points for the child and a poorly fitting seat.

The male-ends of the shoulder strap buckles are installed on the straps backwards. When you drape the straps across your back and clip them in, the adjustment sides of the buckles are on the inside of the straps, making it difficult to tighten once the straps are buckled. You can't slide the clips of because of the way the straps are sewn, so you're stuck with them as they are.

The bib/hood piece is designed so that it's attached away from the baby, regardless of the phase of the carrier's wear. In the "bib" use, this additional piece of padding should affix to the harness between the child and the harness straps/buckles.

All in all, this carrier seems like it was designed by someone who doesn't spend any time in any kind of harness. Due to my job, I'm in and out of various harnesses on a regular basis, all of them are designed for utility use but are still more comfortable than this carrier.

i just got mine in the mail and i was so excited because my husband is a little scared to carry our baby..well today he tried the baby carrier and i am happy to say that he loved it. i tthink that it's a good way to get dad's into babywearing and it helps those fathers who aren't too sure about carrying there babies.

I have two different carriers and my 5wk old hates this one. He cries as soon as I put him in this until I take him out. He doesn't do that with the other carrier. There are two things that I do not like about it. 1) The straps are very uncomfortable for the baby and myself. 2) The headsupport shoves the babies face into my chest and there isn't a comfortable way to give him space. Even with it folded down it was not good.

Receive this on my babyshower. I tried to use it on my daughter when she was a newborn and she seemed to suffocate because facing in, the back is too high and in her face. We gave it another try...We decided to use it for a walk around the mall and after a while my 5 month 16lbs baby's head seemed to hang because her neck was tired. There was no chest support when facing out. She could not see anything facing in and could not breathe! This is my first review and I made sure to start off with this product because it is not good at all! I just exchanged it for the infantino breathe because it looks a lot like the other carriers that i saw moms with at the mall and their babies looked comfortable with the chest support.

The product does support my son but he is a chubby 3 month old so some of the straps that are suppose to fix across his chest doesn't. My husband normally uses it and he does complain about the straps cutting into his skin. BUT other than those two issues, the carrier is good for its price!
