Got these for my daughter for Christmas. Next to the LeapFrog Leappad 2 that I got her, we haven't put these things down. As soon as we turned them on, great reception, no static, worked well over distances.

I bought the Strawberry Shortcake walkie talkie to replace this one because one of the screws was stripped and I couldn't change the batteries. These are 10x better that that product. They are fairly clear have a volume control and a light to use when you're in the dark on a secret mission. My dissatisfaction with the Strawberry Shortcake item led me to research how get a stripped screw out and with sweet success they are working now. Don't buy those other kid versions this one is the best!

My daughter received this for her 7th birthday and they were so much fun to play with. The reception was so clear and they have flashlights on them which were a lot fun. I would absolutely recommend.

Better than the cheap toy ones, but the 2 mile range doesn't work for us.
Fun to horse around the house or yard with though. Sturdy. Left ours outside over night and they still work fine. My 7 year old has enjoyed them quite a bit.

My 2 daughters are crazy about these and having such a fantastic time talking to each other over the walkie talkies. We took them out to a hunting cabin and they had the best time communicating while hiking and from different rooms. They also do the same at home. The price is great and money well spent. A great product and lots of fun for the kids.

These walkie talkies were a great buy. We tried them out from 2 1/2 miles away. Although they were purchased for a small child for Christmas they worked (and very clearly I might add) as long as there were no big obstacles (high hillsides) in the way. Very impressive. The adult versions of these walkie talkies are atleast double the price and about the same quality...major thumbs up!!

The product states a 5 mile range, but it is less than a 1/4 mile. Very disappointing. Thought we could take them to the campground and have fun with them, but the range is nothing close to what was advertised on the package. Good for in house use or yard use, not the neighborhood :( False advertising.

These were purchased for Christmas and broke one day later. The button which you need to press to talk broke after only a couple of uses and they were absolutely not used roughly. My three year old was devastated and it took us hours to console her about the fact that Santa's toy broke. Do not buy these.
