I got this toy as a gift and it was great.The only thing was that you need a timer and table\tea spoons to measure with and the pizza packet is gross and hard to put together.If you are thinking about getting this toy you might want to get it for an eight and up kid.

Well it would be nice if the area for cooking wasn't a pizza oven. Everything you cook has to be flat. LOL! So all the pretty pictures on the ads are a little exagerated to say the least.

You can't open the oven, just slide the trays through this little slot. (For safety purposes) The cost is not worth the product. The oven size is huge but you can't bake even medium sized cakes. All the food comes out burnt. The design is great but everything else is very aggravating. Don't buy this!!!

I have to mimic what so many say, this is not worth the money. The stuff tastes terrible to me, but the kids do like it. Between the warm up time, the bake time and the cooling time the kids lose interest and I end up finishing them. And the stuff is so tiny, just not worth it. For something like this I would pay a little more for it to have a timer, a door to open and watch the baking and mixes that don't taste like chemicals. Needs improvements for sure!

I did get get the item I paid for,however I also paid for gift wrapping in which wasn't done & I simply didn't appreciate that,if I wanted to gift wrap my purchase I wouldn't have paid toys r us to do it and customer no service wasn't helpful at all

This was a christmas gift to my 5 yr old daughter. We both love to bake. Grandma thought this would be a neat idea for her. It's a total waste of time and money. You would think that with a oven this big it could produce a cupcake or a cookie that was bigger than a quarter. It took forever for the thing to warm up enough to use it then it doesn't even have a real timer. The first batch of cupcakes came out fine the 2 nd batch wasn't done and I had to put them back in. My daughter took them out herself and hit the top of oven. She got mix on the inside. No big deal right I'll clean it up later WRONG. There is no way to clean it. Doesn't open at all. If your child is trying to be like mom dad or whoever the baker is forget it. My daughter lost interest in the whole thing and honestly so did I. My suggestions to anyone interested in this product is don't waste your money. Go the the grocery store buy a box of cupcakes and make them yourself.

I had bought this for my daughter for Christmas last year thinking back to when I was little and having my own (older) version and actually baking a personal size cake. With this, I DREAD pulling this out when my daughter asks for this.

For example, today, we made the red velvet cake. One package makes 12 penny size cupcakes. If you were to follow the instructions for the water amount for the cake mix, you would get paste. You'll need to add more water. You have to bake it in 2 batches after you warm up the oven for 20 minutes. Each batch takes 10 minutes to bake and 5 minutes in the "cooling" section before bringing it out. You'll need to wash the cupcake container and to bake another batch. After cooling, you'll need 2 more containers to make the chocolate and strawberry frosting. Once again, the water amount is an issue. Be careful, it is easy to add too much and make frosting soup. My daughter has the most fun with this part, but remember, these are very "tiny" cupcakes so it is very difficult to frost. The packages also come with sprinkles which she likes as well. At this point, we are into this project for an hour and a half. Her 5 year old brother (she is 8)is helping with the decorating. We lost 1 cupcake in the early batch because for some reason it didn't cook, but the others were fine. (not sure why that happened) It is dark in the oven so maybe it didn't go in straight. The second batch burned a little. Now, the "cupcakes" are done and to give you a visual, I can't even see the cupcake under the frosting and sprinkles. The cake is very thin, maybe the width of a saltine cracker, if that. They just ate it now. (less than 30 seconds since they are so bite sized) Sigh. Like the other reviews, the output is not really worth the process. I much prefer to make regular cupcakes with her. Although, it was pretty funny when she gave her Dad the minature cupcake. It was so small, he had a hard time holding it!

My 6 year old was super excited to get this from her grandmother and loves it. I don't. At all.
Pros:
1. Small openings into the oven so my kids have little chance of climbing in and burning themselves badly.
Cons:
1. Small openings into the oven so I can't get anything out of the oven that gets in there, like spilled cake batter or dust. Not to mention, so small you can rarely get the pan in without scraping the batter off onto the top of the entrance, and wait... your cakes rise when baking? You will never get that thing out of there without scraping off the top into the un-cleanable inside.
2. "timer" is fake, but a timer is needed for baking. I am going to guess that a small two dollar timer would not have hurt their overhead too much and should have been added.
3. Baking pans must be precisely placed or else they interfere with the internal flaps closing, which in turn causes the oven to not bake properly. But, no window into the baking area turns this into a guessing game where you are either checking the flaps more often than an airplane pilot, or pulling out raw batter and putting it back in to hope for the best
4. Baking mixes are laden with artificial chemicals and don't even taste good to add insult to injury.

Maybe if my daughter was a bit older and could use this without any help I would not despise it so much. This is why I gave it two stars instead of one.
