I bought this for my grandson and, even though it is very atractive and sturdy (the foam is very stiff and dense), the circles and border are continually falling apart. This mat would be better used in a very low-traffic area -- obviously not meant to be walked on! The little guy likes to pull it apart like a ginormous puzzle so, if you want a puzzle, great choice -- entertaining and good for hand-eye coordination and building spatial skills. If you want a mat, choose something else.

I bought this product for the hardwood floors in our playroom. I couldn't get a rug because my dog ruins them so this was the next alternative for me. It suits my needs perfectly. The colors go with the decor and brightens up the room. The padding is sufficient so we can all sit on the floors without our bums aching. And the plus, it keeps my toddler occupied while he tries to remove and re-assemble the pieces. The only con is cleaning them (they build up dirt underneath them pretty quickly) but the pros outweigh that con.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The colors are adorable. As soon as I put my LO on the mat he was amazed. You can make the mat as small or as large as you want it.
