I received the new Car Seat for my son to replace the one he used for the first year. The packaging was simple in that it all came in one piece. The only difficulty I seemed to have was with the shoulder straps. I mistakenly disconnected the right and left shoulder strap with the 1 strap they connect to in the back of the seat. After I fixed my dumb mistake everything else went smoothly. I always had a hard time putting in the car bases with my sons original car seat. I read in a previous review someone had difficulty with installation. Let me assure you, installation took no more than 10-15 minutes. Mind you that was with taking out the old car seat and putting the new one in when it was dark outside and only had my car light! To ensure the seat was secure I used both the Latches and the Seat belt to secure the seat. Before I installed the seat in the vehicle I put my son in the seat in the house and I had no trouble with the buckles. I believe the buckles are meant to be tough to secure your child's safety. SOME women MAY have difficulty with this but I found with my sons first seat after a little bit of use it's not nearly as tough to buckle him in. It's a new product so give it a chance!

Seems roomy and comfortable for my child, but very difficult to buckle the lower part of the belt. The chest clip, clips easy, but you have to push really hard to get the two other belts to click in, which makes it hard, especially with a squirmy kid. It's also difficult to unbuckle. Also, hard to get the car seatbelt through it in the back to hook it in. I have a hard time, even with small hands, it would be almost impossible for my husband to install it in the car with the seat belt as I could barely get it in which makes it even more difficult to change vehicles with.

This car seat was easy to use and install. My son loves it he can look around in it and it is easy to convert to the other seats also.

I am very disappointed with this carseat. I read tons of reviews and most people said they liked theirs. Honestly, I cannot understand why. The straps are so hard to tighten and the release button is nearly impossible to get open with one hand. I assume this is the case with all Graco carseats. I would definitely recommend another brand all together.

We use this every day. The cup is nice for snacks and drinks. The seat does not get too hot in the car or sun which is very important in Phx or anywhere hot.
Its kind of hard to tighten with the thick straps but that's not a bad thing since the straps feel very secure.

We bought this for my 3rd son after his 1st birthday and was ready to graduate out of his infant carrier. He lovess being able to see all that is in front of him now.
The carseat is a great fit. It fits nicely in my van with a high back booster on one side and another convertible carseat on the other side.
No complaints so far with this seat!

Grows well with kids, my son is 4 and I purchased it because he can transition into a booster seat. He loves the drink holder and compartment for snacks or toys. I don't see much of a differance while using the recline option. It loses a star because of its heavy weight!! Overall good product when you don't have to change it from car to car.

My son outgrew his harness on his booster seat at 4 years old. He is 40lbs and 40 inches and in my opinion NO WHERE NEAR ready for a booster seat with a seatbelt. He is all over the place, so skinny I could see him flying in an accident...and I know it is safest to keep him harnessed as long as possible and that is my plan!

This seat met all of my expectations. And I must say, as my FIRST graco carseat (all previous have been evenflo or safety 1st) I am beyond pleased.

The headrest with side impact seems to wrap around his head well enough where I think his head is protected. The steel reinforced frame is HEAVY but makes me feel safer for him. I could name all the features but you can obviously see them so ill say what I like and don't like.

Pro:
Cupholder (not to me, to him. it was his #1 request in a new seat)
Safety features
Long life span- He is an average sized 4 year old and has ten inches to grow height-wise into the seat. And the harnesses expanded to their fullest show I have plenty of room for a winter coat and tons of weight gain. That is EXACTLY what I was searching for.

No rethread harness- Fantastic because that actually was what deterred me from the nautulus

Negatives:
Latch system is old school. I was spoiled by Evenflo's push and click and then sit on the seat to tighten. And with Safety First's push and click, However...for the other features I could care less because it only comes out when I clean the seat and car.

Recline...isnt much of a recline but at 4 I don't think he cares.

padding...isn't too plush, but still a decent amount. I prefer he doesn't fall asleep in the car and mess up bedtime anyways so thats no biggie

The chest clip and buckle are super hard to undo. A double edged sword because I don't want him to undo them. But I like them to be easy for me LOL

I am so in love with this seat even without the easy latches that I am ready to go buy a second for my two year old!

I have always been an evenflo and safety 1st (but the higher end safety first) person for carseats. Both of my children had Safety 1st Air protect carseats from when they first came out. My 4 year old was in the essential air (not made anymore) and although it said up to 65lbs harnessed, that is not the case. He is 40lbs and 40 inches and although he had some wiggle room, not nearly enough room for a coat and he said it dug into his neck. I tried a recaro probooster and he would not stay in a seatbelt correctly- and honestly I'm not ready for him to be in a seat belt.

Then came the Argos. Graco, you have WON me over!

He has more than enough room to keep him harnessed as long as I want to. I plan for reaching the height limit (weight im not worried, he's on the low end).

The no-rethread is what I was used to. I was not willing to buy a nautulus and lose that.

HE LOVES HIS CUPHOLDER. And for having an older kid, I want one.

My main point however is that at 40lbs 40 inches I want him still harnessed and this is the ONLY seat without spending an arm and a leg on a Britax or Recaro that I could do that. In the evenflo securekid booster, he would not be able to make it through the winter because there was not nearly enough room to buckle over a coat. With this one- there was plenty!

Once I used a Babies R Us coupon it was a decent price range.

Its heavy- but I feel safe with him being in a steel frame. I feel so much better about this seat that I am going to go out soon and buy one for my 20 month old to replace the AIR one.

My only reason for no 5 stars is I have been spoiled with the push and click latch that the safety first has and the securelatch that my evenflo momentum has. Add latches like that Graco, and you have a winner!
