My 6 year old and 4 year old got this game for christmas 2011. Ten months ago they figured out how to play very easily and my youngest is still trying to master the levels. I think my oldest is moving on because he is not playing it nearly as much. Most of the leappad games are way too easy for him, he is super smart reading 200 page chapter books in 1st grade. But this game has lots of cute mini games where you earn for the honor of digging for fossils and collecting all the skeletons for the museum. My kids love "earning" stuff so this works well to their personality! Would love an expansion pack for this one too some day. I would buy it for my boys!

My daughter loves dinosaurs and enjoys playing this game. A few problems though. Once the game is completed, she finally builds the t-rex (her favorite dino), and then the next time she goes to play it, she has to start again at level 1 and her t-rex and all other skeletons are gone. Throughout the rest of the game, the other skeletons are saved and she can go back to play with them as often as she likes. I understand why levels 2 and 3 are locked initially, but once the child has used these levels it's boring and pointless for them to have to return to level 1. I see no reason why progress can't be saved so the child is free to use all the features of the game once they've been initially achieved.

My son is 7 and loves this game. He is very interested in dinosaurs and this was pretty easy for him to catch on to. My 4 year old also likes to play and it doesn't seem like it's too difficult for her, though I'm not sure she learns as much as her brother.

My 3 year old plays this and loves it. Not only is it educational, but it plays at my child's ability. If he wants more challenging, then he can get it, but it really works at all levels.

But he loves dinosaurs and he really enjoys learning new things about them, like what they eat and how they protect themselves. He now wants to be an archaeologist when he grows up.
