We didn't own this exact version we owned an older one but they are the same and since the other comment was not good I wanted to post a good one b/c we loved ours so much. I can't tell you how much time my daughter spent playing this. She loved it. It is "old school" technology but for us it was wonderful. It kept her entertained and she loved it. I would def. buy it on sale but we liked it and would highly recommend it. You have to look at it as a toy. It is not an ipad. I think people expect it to do more than it does. It's cute and entertaining though. It's worth the money, it's fun and it's perfect for little ones that aren't old enough for Leapsters and other electronic toys. Our 2 year old couldn't get enough of it. As far as the quality goes she dropped it over and over and it never broke. Like I said old school technology that still proves to be reliable and useful Two thumbs up from this Army wife and mom of 2!

I bought this for my son last christmas(2011). I was a bit skeptical, I played with one in a store and the page got stuck and it made this awful grinding sound, but.. I got it anyway. Of course, not even a month in, I started noticing the same thing that happened in the store! Grinding noises, stuck on the page.. and you would have to take it out and put it back in again. Well, here we are.. in August and it's D-E-A-D. It just won't even turn on. My son didn't drop it or anything.. it just stopped working. For the price and the fact that my son only played with it like 5 times total.. it's not worth it. It's just honestly a very very poor design and I should've known better. I'd also like to note for those who did not see it in person, the screen does NOT light up. There are little finger sized lights behind the screen that light up and blink as you touch or go. It's not digital. It's honestly a piece of paper with a picture on it.. that rolls from one end to the other. That's it. If I went back in time, I wouldn't buy it.

Terrible!! This was a gift for my then 2yr old last Christmas. WE put it away as we thought it was a little advanced for her. We took it out this summer and within 3 wks it was broken. Wouldn't scroll properly through the pages, when it did scroll it would go haywire and scroll all the way from one end of the reel of pages to the last and back again without stopping, and didn't recognise the page that it was on (ie was saying the wrong things) and often times the page would get stuck half way. Just a piece of junk!! I really do expect more from Fisher Price!

This product was horrible. You couldn't really see the pictures with the blinking lights. It was poorly made and a waste of money. It says it was touch and one would think that in the world of technology that we live in, it would be digital. It wasn't at all! It was a toy that should have been made in the 80's. I do NOT recommend this toy at all! Spend the extra few dollars and just get the leap pad. For the price you pay it isn't worth it.

I bought 3 of these at Christmas for my grandchildren ages 3, 2 1/2, & 2. Ordered online and paid WAY too much plus shipping. None of the kids liked them. Totally archaic especially after they have already experienced touch-pad technology with their parents phones and i-pads. To the point of embarrassing that I wasted so much money x3 and gave them such a disappointing gift.:(
