Don't listen to what people say about the hair... I took the hat off and hair looks beautiful. I took the braid out and she has nice wavy hair where the braid was. It's an amazing doll. I would highly recommend her.

Santa brought this doll and quite a few of her accessories (a storage trunk, additional clothing) to my daughter for Christmas - all for less than the pricey $100 American Girl Doll alone she'd asked for. Christmas morning there was just a beautiful doll in her travel trunk, and to say she was thrilled is not adequate enough praise. The doll and her clothing quality is really top notch, and resembles her expensive competition in most every regard. One apparent difference my 8.5 year old especially loved was her longer eyelashes. My child has since informed me that she would like to get all of the Journey Girls dolls in the future - and based on the price tag alone, I actually think we can manage that! We <3 our Journey Girl!

Hair is unbelievable. Huge disaster. After you take the hat off, it looks like the head of a dollar store doll (maybe worse). Not only is the hair sparse but it was cut so bad that my 7 year old would have done a better job in the factory. Very upsetting that I WASTED my $5.00 customer rewards coupon on this. Not to mention all the gas, since the nearest TRU is 30 miles from the house. Big bummer.

The good,
Stands on her own, pretty face painting, amazing eyes and lashes. Nice poseable body and cute feet. Great skin color and nice vinyl.
The bad,
Her HAIR! So sparse that when you take off the hat it looks awful! Do not take the braid out! Clothes are cheaply made.
Good to know,
Doll is skinnier than the other 18" dolls. AG clothes do not fit that well. Smaller feet. Doll is a little taller than other 18" dolls. Eyes do not shut.

Bottom line. Worth purchasing only if you plan on rewigging and redressing her. This makes her more expensive, but she is beautiful with her new wig! Springfield clothes work well on her.

These are wonderful dolls! My little girl is 7 and got Dana for Christmas, (saaa he has PLAYED with her for 7 months) she takes her everywhere! Clothes are very cute and very well made and best part is not to hard to put on that she can dress and undress her herself!!:) she wanted an American girl for Christmas but due to the fact she would play with I couldn't see spending that much!! We have bought many if the little outfits and accessories, Very reasonable prices!! Can't say enough!!! Great dolls!!!

I think when you get this doll u better keep the rubber bands on the glasses if you want to have the glasses on, but I really think they should have there own site and show,My sister wants this doll and I want kyla much lower price then an american girl (but I can still us their products)
and if you want a doll house use 2-3 wood blocks that are 2 feet tall 2 feet deep by 4 feet big i know it is big but if you want one you better get a basement or have a free wall to keep it with. And if it is still pricy to you, you can go back to the $105 dollar american doll or $150 dollar my twinn doll.

Daughter was heartbroken when we finally removed all the packaging and the glasses didn't stay on. That elastic that comes attached to the glasses needs to stay on the glasses. My daughter put her in a corner where she could stay propped up with her glasses perched precariously, unwilling to play with her lest the glasses fall off again. Other than that, Dana is delightful. But it was a big disapppointment.
