I had this sterilizer on my baby registry, and did not have to use it until recently, as I started introducing bottles (baby is 12 weeks, will be going back to work soon). First time I ever use it- hated the smell it left on stuff, but I was hoping that it will get better with use. But- surprise- second time I tried to use it it did not start. Changed the plugs, had my husband try when he got home- but no success, it's dead. This is the first product I ever owned that stopped working after one use.

I just got the Philips Avent Sterilizer... the bigger and more expensive one. Only have used it for two days and what i have noticed ( good and bad ). -Good- i love how much you can fit into it. Also i like how you can make it bigger or smaller. its nice if i just need to clean the nipples or just the bottles or both. The Sterilizer directions were easy enough just add water then push the button minutes later the bottles are sterilized. what i did not like about it. i felt like my bottles and nipples came out a lot wetter than what they were when i put them in. i had to hand dry each bottle, nipple, ring, and nipple cover. i thought that the steam would of helped the drying process. so i decided to try again and let my bottles, nipples and so on stay in the sterilizer ALL DAY. They were still wet. And let me add i did wash them before but when i put them in the sterilizer they where dry, but they still came out pretty damp/wet.

I received this as a gift at my baby shower. After 3 months of use, the sterilizer is not working, and this is not a cheap one, it should've lasted longer.

It fits all bottles even other brands and all other things I put in there. Love the dishwasher thing cuz I can use small things in there. Easy to use. Easy to clean. I use it twice a day since the baby came from. It's been four months. This was a gift from my mother in law and I know it will last.

I received this as a gift at my baby shower. After one week of use, the sterilizer would not work anymore. I had to return it, and even though it was on my registry, Babies R Us only gave me sale price for the item. I now use the microwave sterilizer which works just fine.

At first, I fell in love with this product. It made sterilizing quick and easy. Then, all of the sudden, I pushed the magic button and it didn't work. I tried different outlets, thinking it was my fault, but it was not. It's a very cheaply made product at a very expensive price. It won't last you more than a month!

I wouldn't recomment this product. I had the older round model that I got as a hand me down and it died after 4 weeks of use so I bought the new model which had to be returned after 1 week as it died too. Now I am using the replacement and although am using it alot as I am pumping and giving my baby breast milk in a bottle so am cleaning the pump every 4 hours it has been a disappointment. The Sterilizer started rusting after about 3-4 weeks of use- crazy!! I am returning it tomorrow - Avent has such great products - I am surprised at this lemon!!

Not much to say. Didn't work brand new out of the box. I know this happens sometimes but after reading other reviews we'll just chalk it up to a piece of junk and exchange it for something different. I plugged it in and the light didn't come on but the heat element did. Tried turning it off and it wouldn't. Unplugged it, plugged it back in and it was off but wouldn't turn on. The light flickered on and off. After pressing the button several times and fighting with it for a while I gave up.

I Purchase this sterilizer 2 weeks ago, today it stop working. Do not buy, trust me read all the other reviews. I'm not the only one that has a problem, I can't believe I spent [$] for this

i only used this machine three times n it stop working but bfore that happend after the cicle finish the bottles would smell bad and slipery i dont know whats wrong with this product but they need to get this of the market this is very unsafe do not recommend.
