I bought one of these play mats for my son's playroom in Fall of 2011. We love that one, it is nice a springy. I like the fact that it is a nice play mat and isn't covered with cartoon characters, instead it has letters and numbers. Yes, the numbers and letters come out but that hasn't really been a problem. I wanted to get another one because our playroom is large and has hard floors. I ordered one online (02/2012) and did the free shipping to the store. The new product is different. The picture on the website and on the mat packaging shows the old product. The new on has a different foam pattern, has different edges and does not fit with the old one. I am not sure if they are just being made in different factories and I got one of each, but the product you get does not match the product on the picture. Since I wanted to fit the two together I am pretty disappointed. We also got terrible customer service at the store but that has nothing to do with the product, but the poor customer service combined with the changes to the product is just making me more and more an [@]customer.

I expected bad odor & pieces that fit loosely...I did not even notice the slightest odor. It is perfect for what we need. It comes with a little carry-on plastic bag which is perfect for us, full-time-working-outside-home-moms & on the go. Covers a perfect space for an active crawler. I'm happy with my purchase. I recommend it. It's cute, gender neutral, great padding for laminate/wood floors. My kid has bumped head on this mat and we haven't seen tears or screams. Buy it!

1st we used it as a play yard pad when g-baby starterd to pull herself up, to soften the blow if she fell. now we use it in her room as a focus place to play instead of a area rug.its also comfy for us older ones to play on with our sweety.
