Bought this for my granddaughter and she loves it! My husband put it together with no problems. One piece of furniture was broken, but he glued it back. The box for the dollhouse was open inside the delivery box. The dolls look a little strange, but apparently that is only a problem for the adults. She doesn't seem to notice it at all. The dolls do bend and that is something that I wanted for her. It is a little heavy for her, but the weight of the material makes it sturdy too. Over all, I like this toy and would recommend it to others.

I got this house at half off the listed price at a local ToysRUs. The house and furniture are made of wood/ply-wood and are durable enough for a 5 yr old to play with. The pre-decorated walls and floors can be easily scratched (one of the floor pieces had a scrape/scratch on it but we just filled it in with a marker). Dolls are posable with wooden body parts though their clothing and hair is made of cheap yarn.

Assembly did take a little effort as the parts do not snap in easily; you'll have to put pressure on some of the wood pieces to bend them enough to slide things into place.

Definitely worth it at the sale price, but I wouldn't have paid the regular price for the house. Good starter home for kids; large enough to accommodate action figurines and miniature furniture but small enough to easily clean up and put away.

We bought this for our almost-three-year-old daughter. Within minutes of assembly, every possible stuffed and figurine friend of hers she already had, had moved right in. She spends hours playing with this thing, and absolutely loves it.

On the assembly, it's actually fairly smartly designed for (mostly) tool-free assembly. However, as others have noted, the cut-outs for the retaining wedge pieces can be slightly off. Ours was as well, which made getting the wedges in place pretty tough; though I think that is on purpose so that the wedges stay in place. If it was looser fitting, it wouldn't be as solid once it's put together.

The opening and closing door on the house, and on some of the funiture, is actually better quality than I expected. The cutout and trimmed windows are also a nice touch.

The only other downside of it is that when the main "door" is opened for playing inside, it rests on the knob used to to open the door. So as toys or toddlers pile up on it, it will tend to bend/twist the front piece of the house a bit. This doesn't seem to be a major problem however.

Generally, happy enough with the purchase to write a recommendation;)

Design is cute and nice size, but holes to assemble product were not made properly at factory and had to redrill holes in correct location in order to assemble doll house. Cute design and color scheme.

My 4 yr old son wanted a "toy house" for Christmas. Not sure if he would really play with it, I didn't want to spend a lot. This house was a good option - got it on sale. It came with some very simple furniture and a small family. The furniture is wood, but is mostly blocks and circles glued together - no details. One of the tables was broken. The dolls are odd looking. The house opens in the back, but the hardware and handle to open and close it were missing from the materials. Otherwise, it was easy to put together. Until I get a handle, it has to stay open as it locks shut and my son can't get it open without a handle. He likes the house, but the people and furniture do not grab his attention. I plan to purchase different dolls and furniture with a little more detail as I think that would be more interesting to him. The house was a great bargain. It is very girly looking. He doesn't mind. :) For the price, you can't beat it.

My 2.5 year old daughter received this dollhouse for Christmas, and she has barely looked at her other presents. The family that comes with the house is adorable, and the furniture, while sparse, is a good starter kit. Love that it can be closed up to carry off to grandma's house!

Bought for a 4 yr old. It has alot of play value for the price. She enjoyed the working back door and the family of doll and looking in the windows and calling herself a giant. It has no instructions for assembly. Assembly was not hard just awkward for 1 person. The hinge on the backdoor was broken when received. I glued it and was just going to glue it shut if the first repair did not hold. My repair seems to have held and pasting shut would have been a mistake as she surly enjoys opening and closing the door. It is a heavy item and she has difficulty moving it from place to place.

My daughter will be 3 next month and grandma bought her this toy a few months ago. It is still by far her favorite toy. Appears to be of good quality and has a lot of little details that she enjoys. This is prettier and more detailed than many more expensive dollhouses I have seen. It also comes with little dolls and wood furniture. At just shy of 3, she has a fairly short attention span. However, this toy can keep her occupied for more than an hour.My mom had thought about buying her a bigger doll house for Christmas, but she loves this one so much that we can't imagine her liking one of the bigger ones any more.
