We purchased this product for our 1 year old who loves her brother's thomas trains. My main complaint with the set is that the magnets that hold the cars and locomotive together are not strong at all. You can't even go up the provided hill without them coming apart even when an adult does it. The wooden tracks are quite rough. I like that it has a girl touch to it but thomas products are superior by far. We are keeping the set but future train products will be thomas.

It arrived via mail from the store, and some paint was chipping off of the fountain. Overall it is cute, fun and easy to assemble.

I love the idea of this and that it is pink and perfect for my train loving daughter. I am a little disappointed at the quality of the design. My husband noticed immediately when putting it together that some of the pre-drilled holes did not line up so we have a bit of a lopsided ice cream shop. The train wheels are also a bit on the flimsy side and like to tumble out of the track. Our train also had trouble fitting through the tunnel as it was cut a little too small to fit the height of the engine. For such a small and simple design I would think it would be easy to get the mold right. Either way our daughter has enjoyed playing with this set as it is the only one we've found that is especially designed for girls.

We got this for our daughter for her 2nd birthday.We were very happy to find a train set that was pink! Love it and she plays with it all the time! The only thing I would complain about it the track.It can be a little confusing when putting together, but keep in mind you can flip the pieces.We numbered the pieces so it makes it easier when she tears it apart.

My children and all other children that have played with it in my home love it! It is perfect for ages 2-6. I can't say the same for the other imaginarium set which is non-gender specific that sells for the same price. Stay away from that one!! The pink set is perfect for little hands and is sturdy. Set up is easy, and the bridge does not collapse like other play sets.

With all of the 'high tech' electronics and visual only toys today, it's great to be able to give our daughter something that develops hand-eye coordination (assembly), evaluative processing (putting it together from directions/picture) and lets her use her imagination!! Fantastic product.

I ordered this set for my 2 year old daughter, who loves trains! For the price, this set is a really good value. Quality wood tracks that are a fraction of the cost of other brands. The only downside is the magnets on the trains are very weak and therefor come disconnected whenever she tries to drive the cars up the bridge or around the corner. I plan on keeping this set and buying a replacement train car set, as I read other brands work with this track.

I was very excited to find this product. My 3 y.o loves her cousins Thomas set. The price was right and I knew she'd like the pink set. Unfortunately, the train derails often and she gets pretty frustrated with it. When the train goes up and over the hill, it flies off the other side and there's not enough straight away track for the train to land. We have a few Thmas trains that seem to work a little better. I guess I'm disappointed because it seems to let her down when all 3 included train pieces don't seem to be very user friendly. She will use it, but perhaps I should have looked around for something better. I may try adding some track pieces to see if it's just the turns that are too sharp for a train of more than 2 cars.

My daughter loves trains. Its so hard to find girl ones. (Dang Thomas!) This one is so cute. It's for Christmas so I am squirreling it away for her for another week, but I know she's going to luv luv luv it. Wooden toys are the best. I know she's going to play this toy into the ground.
