This is one big doll house. My daughter wanted this for her birthday. I'm pretty handy and thought I could make one much better. There were a lot of pieces but very easy to put together. In the end, for the money and time, I highly doubt I could have made something this nice. The elevator works well and my daughter loves it. This was the perfect gift. There is a lot of attention to detail and it is made well. Just be careful during assembly because if you drop it or put pressure where you are not supposed to, things can break but once it is all assembled, it is very sturdy.

We waited two weeks for the house to come. When we got it it was beautiful but missing all the screws not a single one in the box so having to go the trouble of replacing the screws was a little annoying but worth it. It is a great buy just check your pieces before giving it to someone you love.

    The Modern Luxury Dollhouse is Very Good! It was very easy to put together, no drill only a screwdriver was needed. All the parts were included and looked very good. My daughter plays with it everyday. It will last a long time. The only issue and concern is the elevator. The plastic was so tight that I could not screw the ceiling and floor in evenly. I had to leave one side of the elevator undone. The elevator did ntot slide to well, thought maybe had screws to tight or crooked but loosen and realigned and it still did not slide smoothly. Overall I would buy this product for someone else.

        Having two grown daughters, I decided to forego the plastic dollhouses, when my 3y/o spoke of wanting one for Christmas. I am very happy I did, as this is a beautiful, sturdy house that my daughter adores. Although I dread the day she outgrows it, this is a toy that I believe she will still have, many years from now. The included furniture and accessories are equally well built and designed

        Assembly does take some time but only because it is such a large, diverse structure. Assembly instructions were simple and clear, making it impossible for virtually anyone to misunderstand. Only tool required was a Philips screwdriver

        Definitely recommend this over the flimsy, equally priced, plastic houses that end up in pieces within a year

            My 8 year old loved this "wooden" doll house! (A "plastic" house just for the Barbie brand name just seemed cheap to me.) It is sturdy and designed very well. My husband built it in very little time. Love that the house is really big & tall for my older child! I usually don't take time to write reviews, but I wanted to be sure I did with this item.

            Great dollhouse! I searched online high and low to find a dollhouse that is durable and withstand a 4 year old. I think this is it. I looked at a lot of reviews of many different dollhouses and the reviews for this one seem to be accurate. It's sturdy, big enough to fit her dolls, colorful and affordable. It was cheaper than a lot of the other plastic dollhouses I have seen. Two downsides: 1-it took us awhile to put it together. The directions were a little confusing- but you can figure it out. 2-the elevator is difficult to work- but could be the way we put it together. I like that it will grow with her. It's tall enough that she won't outgrow it anytime soon and the decor is youthful- but modern. So hopefully it will grow with her. She opened it Christmas morning and has been playing with it ever since.

              Being assembled as I write this (almost complete). Loving this toy. It is high quality: durable design, very fun color and interior decorating, funky retro touches. I was concerned that this was not going to withstand the constant play I know my kids with have with this item but I have been reassured that it will last. Very pink and girly if that is your thing or your child's.

                  I purchased this as my daughter's main Christmas gift. We went to put it together this evening and it was missing an entire floor from the package contents! Needless to say, we are unable to put it together and will need to go back to Toys R Us tomorrow to get a new one if they even have them in stock. So not impressed....
