I put this on my 18 months old's Christmas wish list and was very happy when she got it. It was the perfect height and she loves to color however when she draws with the chalk it sounds like nails to a chalkboard. I thought maybe it was the way she was holding the chalk but it was the same when I went to use the chalkboard . I changed the chalk and got the same result. As cute as it is and how much my daughter loves it I can't deal with the noise it makes my hairs stand.

the overall product could have been fine except i found that almost all the items i bought had some damage and the shipping was horrible. this item is going to be returned by my daughter due to a hole in it from shipping. I got paper that was wrapped but these items came in original packing which should have been fine but was not. I found the ones not wrapped were damaged. this was dissapointing

This chalkboard would be great for anyone uner 19 inches tall. Unfortunately, infants can't stand and draw. This chalkboard is to small! [*] This thing is so tiny! Othen than being so miniscule, it would be a fine chalkboard.

Great item! Found this in the store and figured we would give it a shot.

Pros: Perfect height for my daughter (19 months). Chalk tray is a larger enough size to hold all her chalk pieces. Light weight so if it falls, I don't have to worry about her getting hurt.

Cons: The only thing I would change is the size of the chalk. The box illustrated the chalk and we knew enough to buy bigger. We picked up a box of the Crayola sidewalk chalk to compliment this gift. So happy we did that! She is coloring up a storm and we aren't worried about finding chalk chunks in her mouth. Win, Win.
