I am an early intervention speech pathologist and I LOVE this toy!! I use it so much with the toddlers on my caseload. There is so much great language I can incorporate and so many sounds I can work on to help these little ones learn speech/language skills.!! Great toy!! One that I keep an eye out for during sales and also at 2nd hand stores.

My two-year-old received this for Christmas from Grandma, and LOVES it! Even his 4-year-old brother likes to play with it.

We got this as a gift and my one year old loves CM so we thought it would be a good fit. Within a week of bringig it home it ran out of batteries. My son tries to put the cookies in his mouth but usually by the time he gets it cookie monster has already closed his mouth again. He loses interest in the toy quickly because of this. The thing my child likes most about it is being able to shove the cookies in his mouth and pretend he's eating them. Overall an OK toy... but I think they could have done a better job with it.

We've had this toy for four months now. Cookie monster no longer opens his mouth when he talks and we're down to one cookie that my son is trying his hardest to lose. If he loses this final cookie, there isn't much he can do with the toy. There's a reason why half of these toys in toys r us are missing cookies from being shoplifted. For the price, I at least expected a longer lasting, properly working toy. Although I am disappointed, my 2 year old does love it.

Bought this for my daughter's first birthday. She loves it and plays with it all the time! She's a little young and can't always get the cookie in and hasn't quite figured out the backpack yet. That's probably why the age says 18 months. But it's very enjoyable and appropriate for a 1-year old anyway. Be sure to switch the toy "on." It comes in the "try me" mode, which doesn't have all the features. The person who commented that it counts too fast must still be in "try me" mode. If you flip the switch to "on" it counts as your child puts the cookies in.

I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and several months later my 21-month-old and my 3-year-old still play with it all the time!

My son played with this toy and loved it for about a week until we lost the three cookies that came with it. If the toy is supposed to teach counting then why does it only come with three cookies? Low expectations for toddlers? Stupid. Once the cookies were lost the cookie monster doesn't do anything else cool so its been in the bottom of the toy box since december. Should have kept my [$].

My son got this for Christmas and he absolutely loves it. He is 3 years old and loves Cookie Monster. I was a little worried that it might be too young for him, but he enjoys feeding Cookie Monster the cookies, while counting, and singing to the songs. I recommend it for young children or children who are delayed in their development. It helps them to develop motor skills.
