My daughter (not even 2) sits on the bed while I do my makeup. She has always gotten very excited about my makeup, and the older she got, she started opening things and making messes faster than I could get the items out of her hands. I couldn't find any realistic makeup products (and have been hunting)...until this! Some of the pieces are small so she is always supervised when using...but she LOVES the compact with mini sponge applicator, eye shadows, and lipstick (I bought her real brushes for $1 at [@]). While I am not encouraging my almost-2 year old to wear makeup, I still need to put my face on everyday, and this is the perfect thing to keep her distracted from getting her hands on the real thing!

This set seems to have everything my 5 y.o. daughter needs to play cosmetician. She LOVES it. She is perfectly happy pretending to do makeovers! We worried that she would be disappointed because it did not have "real" makeup to apply but that is not the case.

my daughters age 5 & 6 love this set! they play for hours putting on their own makeup and then they set up a "salon" and do everyone's make up (even their dad, brothers, and the baby!) The set contains pretend lipstick tubes that twist up and down, pretend eyeshadows, and blush, and applicators. I love that the makeup is plastic and the quality is good too (they haven't broken any of the pieces which usually happens with cheaper sets).

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

We love this set! I have looked all over for a pretend play set that didn't require letting my daughter make a mess and I have finally found it. We do have a wooden set but she prefers this one. It's nice because she can take it along in her purse. You can get a cheap make-up bag to go with it so they feel like they are big.
