This was an immediate hit with my grandsons, age 10, 11 & 14. The helicopter really flies and even comes with spare parts in case of a crash. The noises make the guns realistic (yes, it is quite loud)! The components can be recharged quickly, for several hours of interactive fun. As one reviewer noted, it does take a LOT of batteries, so I was glad I stocked up ahead of time. It can be played with both inside and outdoors.

Takes hits wonderfully, we've bought a few helicopters that have broken right away, this has withstood numerous crash landings as well has the 1 year old's "mishandlings" Great father-son gift! My son tells everyone about his and daddy's hela-copa. Pretty easy to open up and tweak the gears if it's not behaving properly. Very easy to learn to control, it doesn't have much speed but that's ok with us! Perhaps even better that way with kids at the control! One thing though, you'll need ELEVEN AA batteries!

flew great at first but after short time would not take off anymore made sure fully charged tried again ran but no take off???had to take back not getting another

The helicopter is easy to fly and the gun tower is easy to understand. Between me and my 8 year old son, we have had hours of fun together. I even find myself practicing while he is at school.
