Grandpa bought this as an early Christmas present for my 6 year old son. I put it together and everything worked as we expected. My son was very happy with it for about 30 mins - until the gun stopped firing. While the pump action still works, pulling the trigger does not always result in a shot fired. This, of couse, makes the game pointless because you cannot score points if the gun doesn't fire. There must be an electrical short (or something else) in the trigger. I'll be returning the gift today to exchange it for something else. I would have rated this 4 stars, but there's nothing like having a kid's gift break shortly after they open it.

This was purchased for my son's birthday present. With no reviews of how or what it was exactly I was a little hesitant, but it has been somewhat fun so far. The shotgun was much smaller than I anticipated, but for a 6 year old, I suppose it was just about right. The Figures zip around and you shoot 'em and get a response of a 'howl' a 'roar' or a 'growl' if you hit them, otherwise you hear one of the few prerecorded wisecracks from the toy's voice. The aiming is pretty vague. It doesn't feel like you really need to bother, as long as the gun is pointed in the general vicinity you'll probably hit the targets. Overall, it's 60 second bursts of entertainment, just make sure you aren't too far away or it thinks you hit the wrong target every time, also make sure you stretch 'em out as far apart as you can so there's no mistaking what you're aiming for.
