My husband and I have been looking around for a guitar for our two year old for a while, and honestly, this is the least annoying. It plays 3 different songs(Elmo's World, Row row your boat, and another generic children's song) and has three different levels of playing. From just punch the button and the whole song will play to playing your own "chords" and making your own song. The most important thing is that song's are not that annoying, compared to the other guitars that are out there.

BIGGEST PROBLEM:
NO VOLUME CONTROL!!!!!!!!

This thing is LOUD! The little demo in the store that you hear 5 isles over? Yes, it's that loud once you take it home.
Not a big issue for us since the main reason we got it is for when my Husband is rockin' out on his guitar, our son can rock with him.
It's super cute, not that annoying, but don't forget the ear plugs.

My parents bought this for my 3 year son for Christmas to go with the Elmo drummer toy that we purchased for him. It does not play the same stuff that Elmo drummer does!

This toy is really annoying and way too loud for my comfort. It did not seem like the volume went down enough on it. The plus side was my parents got a great laugh out of the thing when I was frowning at it on Christmas morning. My son seemed to like it and my two nephews were fighting over who could play it next.

It does a limited amount of stuff, and like I said it's loud so it was put up for quite some time after Christmas. After pulling it down again, my son did not really want to play with the guitar at all.

It is durable, unfortunately! This is a toy I wish that broke easily.

    I'm not a huge fan of Elmo, but my 18 month old loved this guitar immediately. It was bit loud, and I wish there were volume controls, but my biggest complaint was it broke the day after christmas. He threw it down and now the speaker does not work. It still lights up but no sound. Seems a shame since he's not hard on toys in particular and no other toy has broken in this way, much less within a day of opening it. Seems really cheap.

      We were very excited to receive this toy as a gift for our son. After opening it and playing a few notes, it seemed very loud. I heard about the Dora guitar causing hearing loss in the news so I looked thi one up. It is recommended that babies/toddlers not be exposed to more than 80-85 decibles. This toy plays at 109.5 according to emaxhealth.com s list of top-20-hearing-loss-causing-toys-christmas. I was very disappointed and will be seeing out a different musical toy.

        This is a Christmas present for my Great D
        aughter she is 3.5 yrs old. This will be a favorite for her she loves Elmo and music. She will have a very short learning curve, the toy is simple to operate (Grandma loves it too) and is fun. I think she will be thrilled. It might be a little too loud but She does not live with me (smile).
