I had it working just fine and got some songs on it with no problem the first night I started setting it up for my 5 year old niece. But then the next day when I went to go on it to show her some of the songs I put on it and stuff, the screen kept going on and off, and then completely just shut off. So I thought maybe the battery died, so I started charging it, and tried to add more songs to it and tried to play some songs for her with it plugged in and charging, but the screen just kept going in and out. So I just left it alone for awhile, hoping that maybe once it charges more, maybe it'd work better. But no luck. A few hours later, it just acts like its still charging, and doesnt say how charged it is or anything. And I try to unplug it and see if it'll work, but it still just does the screen thing. Im so disappointed and so is my niece, since she just got this for her birthday and was really looking forward to listening to music on it. Really hope we can get money back or exchange it for something else that actually WORKS. $30-$35 for a cheap mp3 player is a rip off, especially since it doesnt even work! And there's a plastic piece of film that is on the screen that's supossed to protect it, but when you take it off, it rips some of the paint right off and makes it look old and used and not brand new anymore! Theres also marks or something under the screen that you cant wipe/clean off! And I can barely figure out how to work the thing and I know how to work manyyy electronics, so how is my 5 year old niece supossed to figure it out!?

Santa Claus brought this to my 5 year old for Christmas. Admittedly, his first mistake was not checking the reviews. The second was not trying to load music before hand. So here I am the day after Christmas trying to do it. I am not a tech genius but I have managed just fine so far with multiple mp3 players, iphones & ipods, and pcs. I cannot even find this device when I plug it in to the pc. Then in fooling with it, the on/off button has already broken. This is ridiculous. I will be buying her another one today!

I bought this player for my daughter for Christmas. I am tech swavvy and could not get this device to work. I have another player and that works fine. I am very disappointed and so is my daughter.

I read the instructions and had a friend help me and I still can't get this thing to work...It doesn't show up on my computer or my mom's computer....It's defective and very hard to use...I wish I had read the reviews before buying it

Initially, I was excited to give this as a birthday gift to my 7-year old daughter. After opening the package, noticed it was cheaply made...first strike. Then couldn't navigate how to operate the thing (not user friendly for me, let along a 7-year old)....second strike. Overpriced for the quality....third strike. Buyers BEWARE!! I'd give it no stars but this is not an option.

This is the absolute worst product I ever purchased at Toys R Us. I am fairly tech savvy and cannot figure it out. It is absolutely impossible to set up. Returning immediately.

Just spent 4 hours trying to get thing to work. Called tech. support- no tech on duty. Tried converting files- everything...searched online for support...
It won't work...

Unfortunately the store is 2 hours from my house. Mad. Why do they sell it , if they know it doesn't work?

Daughter received as a gift- after reading the reviews here, we will quit trying to make it work and just return it. I can not believe it is still on the market with the negative reviews it is getting. It does not play music. At all.

This product is very frustrating. bought it for my little girl for her birthday and am having the same issues getting music to play as other reviews here have described. I cannot believe that this product is still being sold. My daughter is very dissapointed and I am needless to say highly annoyed.

My eldest brought this for her little sister, so I now have 2 unhappy children as it will not play any music that is loaded onto it. I have tried dragging and dropping from "my computer", adding file names, all sorts.. still not working. I will be returning it for a refund. Its disgusting that it is still on the shelves after so many poor reviews, I just wish I knew that they were buying it so I could have researched prior to and advised them against the product.
