My parents actually purchased this item for my 7 year old. I'm glad I didn't read the other reviews on this product, because I certainly would NOT have purchased it. HOWEVER, my kiddo did not mind that the decoration did not match the box exactly, and the paint job was fine. What I was impressed with was the tuning pegs. I'm a music teacher, and I was glad that the pegs did not have a tension system. It's easy to tune and stays in tune really well.

I do feel sorry for the other customers who had a bad experience, but ours is great!

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS! ITS NOT WORTH A PENNY! The item not only doesn't look like the picture online but doesn't even match the picture on the box it comes in. I even looked at others in the store when I picked it up because I thought mine was defective but it turns out they all were! The paint on it is horrible, looks nothing like it should, and even what's on there is faded and looks like it ran down the sides. The hello kitty and music note were faded pink like the guitar itself and you could barely even see them. That's just one example of how bad it looks. Please do not waste your money!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I received this item today for my daughter's birthday in a couple days and was VERY dissapointed. The paint was peeling all around the body edges, the center hole, and the neck. The dark coloring on the neck was also smeared into the paint on the sides. The wood on the neck is rough and ugly. Slightly less annoying was the fact that the actual design on the ukulele is also different than pictured online. Within an hour of receiving it I called to request a return label - service was prompt with no waiting, but it's dissapointing that I could not return in store without losing the S&H costs.
