Hero Factory: Rise of the Rookies

      By Ehlek333

      from Undisclosed

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

Animation: 7/10 The character models are very detailed, as well as the backrounds and landscapes, but the technique isn't the best. The characters make strange gestures while talking that just seem awkward. And also when someone falls on the ground, they bounce before the slide to a halt. They could have done a lot better with weapon recoil also. Script: 7/10 Some of the lines are cheesy, and the predictable, awkward jokes are just plain dumb. Plot: 5/10 The plot could have been a lot deeper and darker. Characters: 7/10 most of the characters are well developed, but Furno is a bit rushed. Voice acting: 9/10 The voice acting very good, but some of the lines could have been said better. Sound 10/10: The sound effects are perfect, and the music is great. Overall, I give the movie a 6/10.

      Its ok I guess

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

Its a great movie though there are some small flaws. There is no bad langange in this movie, however there is some cartoon violence and crude humor, and there always alot going in the movie and it makes your head spin because none of the charecters never settle down! The only thing I liked about it was that, Mark Hamill, the actor who potrayed Luke Skywalker in the 3 star wars films voiced Von Nebula. He did a super good job by the way. Also the Lego Atlantis movie that was on cartoon network is also on this DVD as an extra. I would not say this is the best lego film however I do hope they make the Lego Ninjago movie masters of spinjitsu be on a DVD. That was my fave Lego movie for sure.

LEGO HERO Rise of the Rookies DVD Review

      By Jack33

      from Sedona

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

Since this time I'm not reviewing a figure, I'll write a review that divides into different sections. Graphics: 8/10 The graphics look great. The characters look just like in real life, but with realistic effects such as dust and dirt. Are are some great effects also for gun blasts, landscapes and outer space. The animation looks smooth and is overall great. Some things--of course--are made just for the movie, and don't look 'LEGO' at all, and the hero assembly is sort of messed up with things divided into what aren't LEGO pieces. Also, when they shoot, their weapons stay the same instead of animation which looks weird in parts. Looks good overall though. Sound: 10/10 The music is okay, but sounds corny in parts. Most of the time it sounds good though. The sound effects are realistic and sound interesting, such as blaster shots. The voice acting is amazing, and adds a huge layer of depth to the characters (especially the villains!) There isn't a single character that doesn't sound right. Zib reminds me of C-3PO quite a bit. Dialog: 7/10 The dialog is interesting and true to the characters and there are some funny jokes. Though it can be a little cheesy at times, the dialog is good. Story: 5/10 Well, the story is told after the Heroes start fighting the villains and is told a little bit at a time, but the story feels bit lacking. Sure, it's interesting, but there is little to it, and has some unexplained mystery. I wish we were able to see the story from the villains' point of view, but I guess that'll come another day. Characters: 10/10 The characters are brilliant, and their personalities are only enhanced by great voice acting and dialog (the villains are the best). Action: 10/10 The action is great. Most of it consists of running and shooting or running to catch another in close combat. The weapons are cool, and the action is crazy. Explosions and many special effects enhance it, and the Heroes don't always win. The action is thrilling and intense and just about perfect. From running and shooting, to hiding and shooting, to engaging in close combat or tricking one another, the action is this movie's major strong point. Overall: 10/10 The movie (three TV specials) has great characters, cool weapons and great action. The story is a bit hollow, though.

      Rise of the Rookies

      By Volkswagenfan1

      from St. Paul

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

Hi! Volkswagen-fan again! This is my second review, and I'm going to keep doing reviews as long as I get the products, especially since my Surge 2.0 review was successful in making the list.. Rise of the Rookies is definitely Lego's best movie so far. Just like last time, I'll use the pros and cons method. PROS Brilliant animation characters portrayed well Furno seems to be an homage to Gresh Surge is a clear homage to Berix Xplode is an homage to Strakk (he's voiced by the same guy, too) Corroder has a personality like Starscream from Transformers, and they share the voice of Charlie Adler very few corny jokes, unlike Bionicle plenty of well made action scenes characters that help put he story together, like Zib, Quatal, Mr. Makuro, and police chief Drax animators clearly payed attention to small details battle masks that can retract on heroes makes you excited for the sequel, Ordeal of Fire Von Nebula is voiced by Mark Hamill, the man who played Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars films CONS two very small mistakes, hard to notice so no big deal toys have to be altered to look like the well made characters in the movie (that's more of a con for the toys, not the movie) Von Nebula should have been in a big fight scene Vapour 's only appearance was on a computer screen in the police station in the Mekron Planetoid Belt, with the word "wanted" above his picture (see if you can spot that the next time you watch it!), I would have preferred to have him in a fight scene Zib, Quatal, Mr. Makuro, Chief Drax, and Thresher (Stormer and Von Ness's team leader when they were rookies) have no Lego sets of them I would highly recommend this product to a friend! That's all I can think of for now, so stay tuned for more Hero Factory reviews from Volkswagenfan1! (Volkswagen-fan is my Lego user name, that's why it is different in the reviews.)

      Best Lego Movie I've Seen

      By guggy789

      from Lake villa

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

This Lego Movie of Hero Factory is well done and has good action and storyline for kids. Not really for the older aduiances but still fun. the movie is actully four episodes of the Hero Factory T.V. searies which lowers the value of Money if you have a DVR because you could just record the episodes. All in all great story line, has some great action for older aduiances with jokes and activity for the younger audiances, the movie I say is great and i would recomend it to a freind, much better then any Lego movie I have seen so far. enjoy

      Best Lego movie so far.

      By Ehlek333Xpictures

      from Here.

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

If you liked the Bionicle movies, you'll love this! I was very impressed with the Hero Factory movie! The voice acting is perfect. But it's just episodes of the show? And I was a little surprised (yes, I didn't know) that Breez is a girl. It's a billion times better than the Bionicle movies, which made me feel a little better about Bionicle being replaced. Overall, it was great! Now to the pros and cons. Pros: Good voice acting. Better than the Bionicle movies. Very detailed animation Cons: Surge talks very weird. My little brothers like it so much that they'll watch it over and over and over. Buy it.

      Great Movie Pack!

      By 1023Danny

      from Manorville

Comments about Warner Home Video LEGO Hero Factory Rise of Rookies DVD:

The "movie" is actually the T.V series that aired in september. The series uses the same animation as the last Bionicle movie. An excellent series at that, too. It really shows the characters' personalities. *BONUS* It comes with the ATLANTIS Movie short as well! Perfect pricing for it, as well as a bonus movie. Get this movie, I loved it! This is 1023Danny, signing off.
