Both rims were bent out of the box, so badly that it's impossible to adjust the brakes so they don't rub (much) when the brake lever isn't pulled. The rear wheel bearings were horrible. The bearings barely lasted a year, and that was using them quite a bit longer than we should have! The gear indicator is very poorly constructed and pulls itself apart in a short amount of time. I've owned this bike less than 2 years and have had nothing but problems with it. So much so that I decided to actually leave a review after this long!
The price is enticing, but stay away from this manufacturer.

I purchased this for my 10 year old son(very big for his age). I purchased it in the box(I don't let anyone other then me assemble anything that could injure my kids)and adjusted the cables, shifters,brakes,etc. My son has given it a thorough workout for a couple of months on and offroad and almost worn out the rear tire and we have had ZERO problems. It went on sale the week after I bought it and they refunded me the difference. I suspect most bike issues are caused by improper final assembly and adjustment,by the purchasers OR untrained/unskilled store employees.

I bought this bike for myself. I'm very petite so I need a 24-inch bike and I simply liked the look of this one. Unfortunately, I'm very disappointed in it. The gears don't shift well and the chain has fallen off a half dozen times in the first week. I ride casually so I don't need a high performance bike, but I'd at least like to be able to get the gears to shift when I want them to rather than minutes after I've turned the handles. It's rather jarring when the shift finally occurs because you're not expecting it at that time. I guess it's possible this is an assembly issue, but since I paid my local Toys R Us to assemble it, I would expect them to have done it correctly. So instead I'll blame the bike. I have ridden it twice now and hope they'll still accept it as a return.

Good bike, easy to assemble. Hard to get the derailers aligned. May need to google it on the web like me to find out how to make the smaller adjustments.
