Don't waste your time or money on this.

I wouldn't even give this product 1 star rating, but had to. We just bought this 2 days ago for our daughters birthday. Got it home to try it and the built in speaker/amp didn't even work. Took it back to exchange it and the second one make a LOUD "screetching" sound the ENTIRE time we were trying to play it. It's going back first thing tomorrow for something new. If you want a good guitar go to an actual music store and get a nice one. So not worth it, dont make the same mistakes as us.

Very difficult to tune. Octaves are off. I reworked this guitar extensively before giving it to a novice. String height needs to be changed to be playable. Was purchased to play with Rock Smith Vidgame, but would not allow playing because game would say guitar was out of tune or you were hitting the wrong notes. The design flaw is in the placement of the bridge, and if you have the ability, like me to move it it will then be okay.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
