Why they made it color change in cold water is beyond me. Most kids play with this doll in the tub... warm makes more sense. However, we found a way around it AND she stays dry. My four year old threw her in the fridge. Voila. Purple hair. It takes away to turn back to pink so she has fun finding 'warm' things to imprint on her hair. She found putting her hand over the head makes a cool pink and purple pattern. When the hair is all pink again... back in the fridge for a minute or so. LOVE IT.

Stays wet forever!

My 5 year old daughter wanted this so bad and did not get it for her birthday. She said she wanted to use her birthday $ to get it afterwards. She loved it from the beginning. That night she "had" to get a bath so she could play with the doll in the tub. That was the first and last time it will ever go in the tub! It is impossible to get all of the water out of the doll's head! There is a little hole in the bottom back that is supposedly there to let all the water out, but it doesn't. It's been over a month since the doll was in the tub and there is still water dripping from it once in a while! I will not let her take the doll in the tub ever again. We've had to throw out way to many tub toys due to water being stuck inside them and then getting moldy. There is no way I'm going to let a $30 so dollar doll get thrown in the trash for this.

      My daughter saw this in store and BEGGED me for it. So santa got it for her for Xmas. It's a cute doll, and she loves it but i caution anyone using it in the bath. There is a drainage hole in the back of the head, but it is pretty useless. Water gets trapped in the head so easily, and it's hard to get it all out. It also makes the doll SUPER heavy.

      And the color change hair isn't very impressive. Just sitting in a room temperature room, the dolls hair stays at the color it would be if you put her in hot water. The hair has to be in super super cold water or environment to change from one color to the next (pink/purple).

          The doll is really cute and my 5 year old daughter got it for christmas, she was really exited to see the color changing hair but NO, the hair does not changes color, so we looked at the manual and says that she has to be in ice cold water to do the trick. That is not happening, kids use this doll in the tub, at the beach, at the pool and I dont think those places are ice cold, especially here -we live in Miami-, and no mom with a common sense will fill a tub with ICE COLD WATER so their kid can see the hair changing colors in the dolll. ...and get pneumonia after.... Love the doll but hate the false expectations it creates in kids . I am really lucky that mine was ok with the "little problem".

            My daughter Loves lalaloopsy has many of them. was one for halloween and had a lalaloopsy birthday party. this doll was disappointing the water gets stuck in the head. I will say mga entertainment has great customer service and is replacing the doll the new one will not go in the tub. I still recommend the doll just not for use in water. would have been rated 5 stars if not for the water.

              I got this doll after my 5 year old sister begged for it as a Christmas gift. I wasn't to happy about paying that much money for a doll (even though It was on sale I felt like it would still be a waste of money), but I ordered the doll anyway. When it came in the mail my mind quickly changed. I loved the doll! It was a great size & very pretty! Now she hasn't played with it yet because its for Christmas but I feel like even if the reviews about her hair not changing are true than I'd be okay with that. This doll is a good buy period, it's very nice & something cute for her to play with outside of the tub.

                I hesitated after reading some of the reviews, but my daughter wanted it so much I caved in. I have to say we've been pleasantly surprised! She loves to play in the bathtub (even though she is 7), and the doll's hair changes color as described, dries out quickly and she plays with it often. The added benefit is I can get her into the bathtub more often! :)
