this item worked great the first 2yrs. I had it. but the last 2 yrs. its been shutting off every time i try to use it. I haven't had the problem of inaccuracies like most have. its accurate WHEN it works. I really need to get another one but seem to forget once my little one feels better and who has time to shop for a thermometer? I have a 4 yr. old!

I was given this as a baby shower gift for my second child and when I actually got around to using it, I realized it was broken and kept telling me that my child and myself had a low reading. I went and exchanged it thinking that I had a defective unit. The next one works better but the temperature is never right. I know that if it says 97 that means a fever because its just reads very low. Not a good product and not worth the money.

this is the biggest waste of money. i wish i could returm it, but i threw the box away. i wish i had read the reviews before buying it. it is never accurate, not even on me-- once it read that i had temp of 94.6 deg...um what??? terrible terrible thing. i wouldnt give it any stars but it makesyou. piece of junk.v hate it.

I finally broke down and spent over $30 to get this thermometer and it has been the biggest waste of money. This thermometer never has a reading higher than 95.7. Unfortunatly I did not keep the box so I am stuck with this.

Have been trying to use this for the past 4 months (baby was born in July) and it is SO DIFFICULT to get an accurate reading. Sometimes it says L (for low), sometimes it says 93 and then on the next reading it says 97...very inaccurate for a squirmy baby. Even when I get a pseudo normal reading, I question it since it always seems to be lower that it actually is.

Fast accurate readings.. Works well for my 3 yr old.. I also used it on myself.. I plan on using it on my next child. I would recommend it to any mother :)

This thermometer is very nice. I used it on both my boyfriend and I to see how it worked and I was very pleased to say that the readings were not only accurate but very fast as well. I love that it even comes with additional reading covers and make sure to read the instruction manual to understand how to get the best, and most accurate reading. I would definetly reccomend this and I'm really glad I registered for it

Got this as a baby shower gift four years ago and it has never worked right. It always reads too low. Very disappointing! Have finally given in and gotten a new thermometer. I don't know if my daughter's ear canals are mis-shaped or what? But then again, it never reads right in my husband or I's ear either.

I loved the idea of this thermometer being so non-invasive but the few times we have tried using it the reading seemed too low. Almost every time we have used this on our infant it has said he has a temp around 73 degrees and this is at times when he felt warm to the touch. I rechecked his temp rectally and got a higher, more normal reading so I do not really trust this thermometer. I will say though that I think our readings don't always come out accurate because baby squirms. But any parent knows that it can be quite impossible to get a baby to stay completely still especially when you are sticking something in their ears. I think this type of thermometer is great to use on babies but maybe a different model or brand, one that is so glitchy.
