As a fan of miniatures, I was pretty much geeking out the whole time I was deboxing this set. There are a ton of tiny, highly-detailed pieces (which, consequently, can be easily lost and disappear forever into a vacuum, for those parents of younger children). The fact that pretty much every piece right down to the powder puff can be held by the doll without being too easily removed is a testament to the advances that have been made with this particular line.

My only quibble with the toy itself is that I had to sand the bottom of the perfume atomizer to get it to sit up unaided, but that's an extravagant complaint to have with such a great set. It's likely a non-issue for those who are getting this for their child.

I had to knock off one star here because I agree with the others when they say it's somewhat overpriced here. Wait for a sale if you can.

(A note to collectors: Be aware when you unwrap the packet with the makeup brushes as, if you accidentally let go of the blister pack's flap, you risk launching these pieces all over your room.)

My 5-year-old daughter saw this set and had to have it. She got it for Easter and has spent many hours playing with it. She loves it! There are lots of neat accessories/pieces that she uses with her Cleo de Nile doll and her other Monster High dolls (all sold separately). She especially loves the Egyptian cats and pretends that they are pets.
This is a great toy to stimulate a child's imagination. The only problem is storage. You have to make sure you have something to keep all the little pieces in. The vanity table has a drawer that can store some of the pieces. We put everything else (vanity table, chair, etc) in a large plastic storage box.
Otherwise, it's great. I wouldn't recommend it for children under 4 years because the small pieces are harder to manipulate for little ones. They may not have the dexterity in their fingers. There's also the risk of choking for little ones.

This item is amazing for both collectors and children. I do have to say this is a very UNREASONABLE PRICE. However i love the product!

I think that the best way to use this product is to put it ion display.
It is very well made, hard plastic. Very detailed and beautiful.
Comes with lots of accessories for Cleo de Nile doll.
Please note that there are many small pieces and accessories that come with this product.

My favorite Monster High item yet -- all the little details are adorable, and it's a creative design (the working drawer even spells "Cleo" in real heiroglyphs!), it looks great in person, and it's the kind of thing I would have LOVED to have when I was a kid.

Sure, this thing is cute but, after searching all over California, I settled on waiting for this item to come back in stock even after the holidays. I understand that Monster High is pretty much the hype for preteen girls but I am shocked that even I was willing to pay a total of [$] and some change on a little plastic table and little plastic chair. All in all, the item was fine - it served its purpose and made my niece very happy but for something so cheaply made; the price could have been more practical.

THIS is a pretty addition to my little girl's Monster High custom dollhouse. The MONSTER HIGH furniture is top notch, well made, and simply awesome. My little one loves it! TRU needs to lower their prices though...other retail stores are $12-$13 less on all the newest MONSTER HIGH stuff. That's a HUGE difference in price.
