I purchased this item for our 2 year old granddaughter to use in her kitchen/cafe and she loves it! She is constantly "cooking" for us and using all the items that came in this set. She is very careful to have her oven mitt on each time she uses a pot! Well made and provides hours of fun!

My mother in law got this set as a gift for my daughter in law. It seems nice I am a big fan of this brand. The only thing that disappointed me was the fake food that came with it, aside from the egg the rest of it seemed really cheaply made. Since this company makes the awesome new sprouts line I was confused why the fake food was dollar store quality but the pans themselves are decent the utensils bend easily and are kind of thin plastic. It's a nice enough toy, I definitely prefer the new sprouts line though!

This is a great toy set! My son is 2 and we received it for a review. He loves playing with the little doggie and is fascinated by all the different bones. It's perfect for practicing counting and colors, and great for keeping young children entertained.

Comments about Learning Resources Pretend & Play Pro Chef Set:

I had the chance to review this set at [@]- My girls are so in love with this set- It seems like every time my girls little friends come over- that is the first place they head- straight for their kitchen!! My girls are always in their play kitchen cooking up pretend meals. Until just recently, they had to be pretty creative with their "utensils"- a block for a pot and a mitten for a pot holder- I actually enjoy seeing how creative their imagination is! But since we have received The Pretend and Play Pro Chef Set- no need for the blocks and mittens anymore, this fabulous little set has everything they need to cook up some pretty spectacular meals!!My girls love to make my husband and I meals in their kitchen, even when we have a tea party, there is always chicken involved somehow! This awesome set comes with a stockpot, saucepan, 2 lids, skillet, spatula, wooden spoon, oven mitt, chicken leg, corncob, carrot, fried egg, and activity guide that my girls swear is a cookbook : ) The activity book is great because it teaches the little ones how to make good food choices- my daughter thought the cupcake was a "good" food choice -so funny!! And they can make their own menu for the day and wipe clean for a new one! I love that as well because it encourages my girls to learn to spell what they are making- a great idea. My oldest daughter used to love helping me make our grocery lists- she actually was pretty good, at 4 she could spell milk and eggs, I though that was pretty awesome- so this is perfect for her!! I absolutely love this set- it is so lifelike and very sturdy- perfect for my rough little ones!!

            Must have for play kitchens!

            By Cher@MomandMore

            from Chicago, IL

Comments about Learning Resources Pretend & Play Pro Chef Set:

This set is great because the items are big and kids can actually use them. I have a set of pots and pans that came with the play kitchen we bought but they barely fit one piece of food. These items are big and are more adult-like! As you can see in my picture below, I fit four pieces of food in the one pot and had room to spare! It is neat too that they have lids and the utensils are also longer and easier to use for small hands. Oh and the oven mitt is adorable! If you have a child who likes their play kitchen, this set is a must because the items are big enough to really play. I will add though that the plastic they are made of is not as durable as I'd like and while we haven't broken anything yet I am a little worried. I'd still recommend this set though!

The Activity Book is really cute, although its just six pages. It is a dry erase book with activities simple for small kids such as a maze, draw your favorite meal, counting fun, pick healthy foods, pick foods that don't belong and pick the different sized food item. My 4 year old really liked the book!

Comments about Learning Resources Pretend & Play Pro Chef Set:

Imagine you are four years old. Ruff's House is full of secrets from the minute you open the box. The ten rubber bones are perched on the doghouse roof. Remove the plastic from the ten bones and you discover that the bumps are different on each pair of matched colors. Remove the plastic wrap from the doghouse and you find a doggie door made of black flexible rubber. You must reach inside - it simply calls to you. Your hand touches softness and you pull out Ruff, the puppy you always wanted (that doesn't tear up shoes), plus ten more bones! As the teacher, I'm looking at this toy thinking of all the different educational games I can play with the kids - sorting and counting and matching. Sorting by colors, counting by ones and two, and matching by texture. A wonderful toy!! I received this toy at no charge in exchange for my honest review.

My oldest son loves playing with their new game. He caught up to it pretty fast too! The way we play it is we put 5 of the rubber bones inside the house while we hold the other 5 in our hands. We randomly choose a bone and we let him see it, hold it and touch it. Once he is ready he'll stick his hand inside the house and let him find the bone he has in his hand. He finds it quite rewarding to find the right bone!

We also use the soft bones the same way. And just once have we had both rubber and fabric bones in the house. It went OK. Boy decided to be sneaky and peak inside the house!!

The boys also play together….throwing the rubber bones down the hall!! And they take turns!!
