Comments about Down to Earth Designs 1010216 gDiapers Disposable Inserts Case - Newborn/Small - 160 Count:

I've used gDiapers with my daughter for a year and I think they're a great product. I recommend them to all my friends with infants. My friends and I want to avoid creating as much waste as possible and "reduce our carbon footprint". Some of my friends have elected to use hi-tech cloth diapers instead of the gDiapers, which come out to be a comparable expense when considering the cost of the different pieces one has to buy to have a functioning cloth diaper system. I watch her constantly changing her babies' diaper and I am so glad I used gDiapers instead. I only change my daughter every three hours, unless she pooped, and we haven't had a diaper rash yet. They are great for overnight, VERY FEW leaks and poop "blowouts" (I think she's had 3-4 blowouts over the course of a year) and are even easy to travel with. After raving to my friend who uses cloth diapers, she decided to try them while on a trip with her infant son and was not nearly as happy as I was. She said they were very leaky and found she had to change them almost as often as the cloth diapers. I still have to recommend them to anyone with a daughter because I've been really pleased with their performance. The initial investment in all the covers and liners can seem expensive, and the disposable liners themselves cost more than the same amount of disposable diapers, but I think they last longer than disposables therefore I don't think the cost is much different. Sometimes washing the plastic liners and covers can be somewhat of a hassle, but I wouldn't even consider using cloth diapers and I definitely don't want to contribute a mountain of disposable diapers to a landfill over the course of time my kid is in diapers. I am willing to spend a little more on this great product to be environmentally responsible. I actually only had 8 cloth covers to start with and bought an additional 6 plastic liners in the small size and got by just fine. In the medium/large/XL size, I only have 6 cloth covers and bought an additional box of plastic liners and we do fine with that amount. I recommend washing the *plastic liners* in the washing machine but don't dry them if possible. They air dry just fine and it will help them last longer.

Comments about Down to Earth Designs 1010216 gDiapers Disposable Inserts Case - Newborn/Small - 160 Count:

This diaper system is GREAT. The only negative is that it is not cheap. If you want to be environmentally friendly but not clean cloth diapers, this product is for you. I recommend at least 12 cloth pants with inserts and 6 additional inserts for each size so you don't have to do laundry each day. We went through at least 6 of these small cases for the newborn and small gPants. We also ordered online through babies r us and had them shipped FREE when you bought two together. The less shopping we had to do with the newborn, the better!!! If your baby is getting close to out growing, don't open the case until you need to because you can return and get the next size up since babies r us has a great return/exchange policy.

Comments about Down to Earth Designs 1010216 gDiapers Disposable Inserts Case - Newborn/Small - 160 Count:

I love these. They hold a lot, just as much if not more than disposible diapers, but have no chemicals. Diaper rash, and a mountain of trash will not be on my agenda. The covers are adorable too. If the diaper is put on properly it won't leak. They are cheaper here than on any other site or store, and cheaper than name brand disposibles. Very much worth the extra money for the covers.

Comments about Down to Earth Designs 1010216 gDiapers Disposable Inserts Case - Newborn/Small - 160 Count:

These biodegradable gDiaper refills are so great! They are very environmentally friendly (but a great alternative to cloth diapers)--you can flush them, compost them, or throw them away! You won't find these in a landfill 500 years from now like the billions and billions of diapers in there now! The gDiaper system is baby friendly, too. The diaper is breathable, so it's gentle on my little girl's skin. The colors of the covers are so cute! We have 8 covers and 14 liners, and that seems to be the perfect number for us.

For those who are worried about leaks and "blowouts," I haven't had many problems at all. Of course, just as with regular diapers, we do have the occasional leak, but nothing major at all. I would recommend this to everyone!
