I love the neckline on this cover - it is just rigid enough to allow me to peek at my baby while he is eating, but flexible enough to fold up into the purse. Also, I like that it is light material so neither my baby, nor I, roast in warm weather. As stated by another reviewer, you do need to be careful using it in breezy conditions, but works great for inside. Overall, I think it stays in place better than other covers that I have tried, and definitely better than a blanket. I think it is a great design in that it widens out enough that it fully covers the baby so I don't have to worry about it accidentally slipping out of place when I use it in crowded places.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Watch out for light breezes!

Serves it's purpose for the most part, is nice and compact, is super lightweight (which is nice for the summer), BUT... isn't heavy enough to stay down while nursing. Between my son moving it aside with his movements and light breezes disrupting it, it defeats the purpose of keeping you covered! Would recommend looking into heavier material (a friend made one for me that works great) - although the con to heavier material is that it is super hot in the summer months. It is nice for around the house though when you have company and need something quck to cover up with. A light blanket would also suffice for much less expensive. Take your pick!

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
