My husband and I bought this monitor with all the gift cards we got from the baby shower. I wanted a monitor with a motion detector pad because I had lost a sister to SIDS when I was little. This monitor worked wonders when my daughter was in the bassinet. Once we put her in her crib (when the pad was really needed) it didn't work AT ALL! We tried changing the settings, putting a piece of cardboard under the pad... it continued to go off all through the night. We'd rush into her room and she'd be snoring away. We decided to keep the pad off and then the parent monitor would turn on and off on it's own. So it was either turn the pad on and run to reset it every few minutes or have the parent monitor go on and off.
We used the monitor in the baby room just for the temperature, but that recently broke as well. The second digit no longer lights up.
So after spending all that money we used the product for about 2 months and now it's collecting dust. We bought the monitor not even a year ago! Worst decision we have ever made was to purchase this product!
We had more sleepless nights and heart-stopping terror than new parents need to go through just by owning this product.

I love this monitor. Clear sound and base has a soft nite lite that is helpful for late night feelings. I recently moved my daughter into her bed and the motion sensor gave me such peace of mind. No problems with false alarms but she is still in bassinet. Also, very easy to travel with. It's was also on sale making it less expensive than other monitors.

When I started using this monitor I was very unhappy with it. It wasn't always picking up sounds when my baby would make noise and we couldn't use the movement sensor at all because we kept having false alarms.
I was getting ready to contact customer service for Tommee Tippee when I decided to sit down and re-read the manual. The first time I read it I was busy with a newborn and a toddler and just didn't give it my full attention. After reading the manual again I was able to fix the problems we were having. This is actually a great monitor, if you read the instructions! I am impressed that I get no interference on the unit, which is one thing I constantly complained about when we had the Angel Care movement and sound monitor with our first child.
I bought this monitor when it was on sale for 50% off and I have to say it was a steal. Best monitor for the money. I have seen it go on sale like that several times now so just watch for it!

I purchased this after thinking i did good research, but was mistaken..
I was watching my 4 year old cousin and she started crying (loudly) in the middle of the night and i heard her for about 2 min before a sound ever registered through the monitor.
It has great features and is very easy to use but being a new mom it has one feature i do not like. Alot of monitors have a shut off period, and will be re-activated by sound. I would much rather have continuous sound! So make sure to look at all the details, and asking someone in store did no help!!

Thought I found a good buy after reading the reviews. I chose this monitor for the clarity, no static. I charged it overnight and it never got a full charge. Tried to use it and it would turn on and off randomly and I could hear my baby crying in the next room and the monitor did not pick it up. Then in the middle of the night, I gotten woken up from static turning on and shutting off. I'm not sure if this was defective, but I'm going to try a different brand.

We had never had a problem in 5 weeks of using the product in our crib for our baby. We ended up having 5 false alarms with the pad in two weeks, to rush in there to find our perfect sleeping baby with no issues. The alarm would only sound when she fell into a deep sleep. We turned up the sensitivity setting on the hand held monitor to find no change. We are currently testing the monitor on the highest sensitivity setting located on the main monitor in the nursery to see if that helps. If not trash the pad because for first time parents these false alarms are a headache literally!!!

The monitor is awesome. We only used the sensor pad a few times and I have no complaints. The range is fantastic and the audio is beyond crystal clear. Its a very simple and user friendly product that I would recommend to others.

We are first time parents ...this monitor really gives us peace of mind!! We have no fear that our baby is not breathing EVER! It did take us a while to figure out the exact placement for it (on top of her mattress but under her sheet, padded with a receiving blanket) Prior to this we had many false alarms and it was frustrating and scarey! The instructions tell you to put it under the mattress and it and it went off all the time:/ we also love the speaker system in it that we can talk to her and quiet her down without going up stairs. Would certainly get the one with the video if we could do it over! Our baby is 8 1/2 months and we still adore this monitor, would recommend it to any friend or family member :)

I have owned a couple of monitors and have always had issues with them. This time I was specifically looking for one that I could also talk back on. I was going to get the Phillips Advent monitor, but the store did not have them in and you could only get it through online store. I decided to try the tommee tippee monitor and I have loved. There is NO static and the sound comes in clear. I have not used the movement pad, though.
