The full function radio transmitter controls Forward/Reverse Drive and Left/Right Steering Transmitter's internal battery is recharged by the vehicle. A 9.6v rechargeable battery pack and charging unit are included.

We got this for my Son for Christmas and have returned 3 of them trying to get one that works. We wanted to try one more time and as soon as we took it out of the box and charged it up the forward motion was broken. It would go backwards but not forwards?? It is a cool truck with all the lights and sounds but as much as it cost you would think they would have a better working motor.

IF YOU READ DESCRIPTION IT SAYS :
30" long x 15" wide x 16" tall.
THIS IS NOT WHAT YOU ARE GOING TO GET.
THIS TRUCK IS
20" long x 12" wide x 14" tall.
AND THAT IS THE BOX IT COMES IN.
THE TRUCK IS SMALLER.
FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!

We ordered the red truck and the blue truck. We never opened the red truck because we were disappointed with the blue truck having a defective tire. Three good tires. One bad tire. We returned both. The touch control seemed to work good and the sounds and lights were a nice addition. The truck is cheaply made and we have many problems with New Bright R/C's. We are switching to Fast Lanes after four New Bright trucks being returned this Christmas 2011. The first were the Mudslinger trucks (looks like mud on the truck) and the same truck in the Ram version. These were VERY cheaply made and fall apart. One came out of box with something wrong in motor. The other was driven down the driveway a couple times and parts were coming off after very little use by a 13 year old (not a 3 year old). Dissappointed in New Bright. Toys R Us was awesome dealing with all my returns on these New Bright R/C's though! Kudos to them! We also purchases the Carrera Fire Truck that shoots water. This is a fast little truck, longer battery life, and works really well. Don't forget to put the straw on the atenna and learn technique for turning without flipping since so fast. We will be purchasing the Fast Lane JXL Overdrive (12V) in March. We purchased a Tonka truck that flips and has different colors on each side. The battery life is short as is usual for 9.6 V but it works good on land and is fast.
