      I assembled this crib mostly alone at 36 weeks. I did have to get a little help attaching the bottom. It took about an hour...but as I said, I was 36 weeks pregnant...so there were water and potty breaks. My son seems to like the crib, he's 3 months old now. I've banged stuff against it and it still looks new. The finish matches his dresser and changing table from a different company which is awesome. He does manage to wedge a foot in the bars, but that would happen with any crib. I'm 5'5", had a c-section, and still was able to lift him in and out of the crib without pain or strain. it seems quite solid, the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I haven't had the opportunity to lower the mattress yet. Oh and the mattress fits snugly in the crib but isn't difficult to take out to change the sheets (which I do every other day)

      Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

        Very happy with this product. Didn't time how long it took to put together, wasn't aware that putting a crib together was a race but I digress. Had a light smell that has since gone away since (about 7 days ago). Instructions permenantly attached to the base, nothing better than that. May have been short changed on the screws, but there is nothing that cannot be improvised. Granted this is an investment and will last very long but lets get real kids are cunning and unintentionally destructive, so stop complaining if it scratches easy or your baby chews on it or can easily climb out. There is an easy fix for everything. Going with natural is the best bet you can go with. And IT'S CHEAP and made from great sturdy material. Your kid is gonna love it.

        Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

          It was very easy to put together and I like the fact that the instructions are permenantly on the crib so there is no going crazy searching for them. There was a light smell but has subsided since put together.
