My 5 year old son LOVES this toy! He's had it for a year now and it's still going strong. It's one of his favorite toys to play with outside. We keep it as an outside toy because of the mess with the water. Also play with it inside without water. The mountain itself isn't made of the most sturdy material, so you want to make sure they don't try to stand on it. Definitely use ice cubes in the cold water for the color changing effects, which is quite awesome for little guys! I would definitely recommend this Dinosaur Mountain play set for any little one that loves dinosaurs :)

Whenever my son has a playdate, this is the first thing they go for. The color changing dinosaurs are fascinating and the change is quite visible. We add ice cubes to the cold water to make sure the change is rapid, but otherwise you are able to set it up as directed in about a minute. I put towels around the mountain because it is a bit messy with splashing water. If you can play with it outside, all the better, but towels do the trick for inside. Also, the children love the tunnels/caves under the mountain for hiding the dinosaurs. They use some bigger dinosaurs out of our own collection come to visit the mountain as well. There is a ton of imaginative play that has been a part of playtime with this toy. It is well worth the price and is very sturdy- nothing broken and we are still playing with it after a year.

Cheaply made, not for toddlers!!

I purchased this for Christmas for my toddler who loves dinosaurs. I was very disappointed with how cheaply it was manufactured and even more upset when his foot when right through it by 12/30! One sad little boy and mommy :(
