Product Description

Our Dr. Browns 8oz 3pk Blue Bottles feature a patented two-piece internal vent system that works unlike any other bottle design. The vent system fully vents our bottle for vacuum-free feeding, which we call positive-pressure flow, similar to breastfeeding. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the nipple collar through the vent system, bypassing the breastmilk or formula, to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breastmilk or formula which minimizes oxidation and helps maintain essential nutrients like vitamins C, A and E. Babies feed more comfortably because the vent system allows them to nurse without fighting the negative effects of a vacuum or the discomfort of ingesting air bubbles. This helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping, and gas. The breastmilk or formula flows freely, without nipple collapse.

Features

  • Vacuum free feeding - like breastfeeding
  • Helps maintain vitamins C, A & E plus lipids
  • Easy to clean, dishwasher safe.BPA Free

After trying many bottles that did not have as many parts (with all 3 of my children), I always ended up going back to Dr. Brown's bottles! I used them until my babies were about 6 months old or so, when they can transition to some solid foods and can better accept a "regular" bottle, such as Gerber or Evenflo. It only takes a minute or two to clean the extra vent pieces, and you just have to make sure that if you're mixing powdered formula & water when you're out and about, that you have the storage caps with you and have a clean surface to put the vent pieces down on while you're mixing the bottle up. They are mid-priced, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive, and they do not leak while you're feeding your baby and the best part--these bottles do not cause gas or discomfort! I've never needed to use burp cloths with any of my kids while using these bottles, they are wonderful. Worth the extra few minutes of cleaning or the extra effort it takes to mix formula up when you're out.

My wife and I have 4 kids and we've used all sorts of bottles. Dr. Brown bottles have been the most unique by far. We have about 20 of them in 4 oz and 8 oz sizes. The bottles have 2 good features other bottles just don't have. First, they're bigger so it's easy to fit 8 oz worth of formula with the water without getting near spilling it. Second, they don't create a vacuum while your baby is eating. Of course this hasn't stopped tummy aches nor their spitting up (in our children, they have no health issues as a note). It also hasn't alowed them to eat more between burps. What it does allow is for them to eat a little faster. There are also 2 drawbacks to the bottles: they're complicated parts are harder to clean, they're exoensive, and they leak. They leak more than any bottle we've ever used. Roughly 80%-90% of our Dr Brown bottles leak. It's infuriating to feed your child and get them, and yourself, wet while doing it. Because if this we had to go find a better bottle which, oddly enough, happens to be the cheap bottles at Walmart. They're cheaper, easier to clean, and they hold up for years. They also accomplish a feat of engineering Dr Brown's bottles cannot- they don't leak! The only reason we keep them is because my wife is stuck on the status symbol of, "Dr Brown's bottles."

Best bottles!

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr Brown's 8 Ounce Bottle 3 Pack - Blue:

I tried a lot of bottles with my first baby and as soon as we tried Dr. Brown's we knew they were the right fit. Feedings went smoothly and his colic problems seemed to disappear. I used the same bottles for my second without hesitation. They are a bit of a pain to clean but worth it.

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr Brown's 8 Ounce Bottle 3 Pack - Blue:

I've used these bottles with both of my children (my oldest is seven), and plan to use them with my next two.. These are the only bottles I will buy and only bottle I tell others to buy!! Both my babies had severe colic with any other bottle I tried!! In my opinion these bottles have a brilliant design and do what they say!! I hope they plan to make these ones with or without the vent!! I adore these bottles and so have my babies!!

We recently had our 2nd baby and had these bottles from our first. We dug them out and have been using them since day one. I have tried a couple different bottles but my son hated them. We are hooked on these bottles! Less gas is always a plus!

Great bottle

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr Brown's 8 Ounce Bottle 3 Pack - Blue:

Dr Browns was recommended to me while I was pregnant, and I am so happy they were. These bottles are great for colicky babies, and I feel better storing breast milk in glass bottles. I have been using the 4 oz bottles for 4 months now, and the quality is great. Just bought the 8 oz bottles for the next chapter.

Best Bottle Available

By Liltippers82

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr Brown's 8 Ounce Bottle 3 Pack - Blue:

I used these bottles with my first born four years ago. They worked great then, so I have no idea why I wanted to try something else with my second child. I tried several bottles and none are as great as Dr. Brown's bottles. They prevent gas and do not waste any milk. Anyone who has had to pump while breastfeeding knows how precious breastmilk is, and when I put the milk in Dr. Brown's bottles, no drops are left, many other bottles have waves and ridges and I lose my precious milk. I highly recommend these bottles to everyone and especially parents with colicky babies!

Love Dr Brown's!

By Mandy07

from Mason City, IA, United States

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr Brown's 8 Ounce Bottle 3 Pack - Blue:

I am a first time mom to twin girls. After 14 weeks on bed rest, my girls decided to come 6 weeks early. I was hoping to breast feed, however; the girls were in the NICU and were on tube feedings for the first week, but I did pump. In order to ensure they were getting enough milk, the nurses started them out on bottles, the kind provided by the hospital. When the girls were getting ready to transition to home, we had to think about what kind of bottles to use. Most bottles are made with nipples very similar to a breast, however; the ones at the hospital were not. The girls were small and the bigger nipple bottles just seemed too large. To make it easier for the girls we wanted to stay with something similar. I had heard good things about Dr Brown's, so we tried them. The girls took to them immediately with no problem! They are now 9 months old and we still use Dr Brown's! They have never had any trouble with reflux or colic thanks to Dr Brown's!
