Product Description

Our Dr. Browns 8oz 3pk Blue Bottles feature a patented two-piece internal vent system that works unlike any other bottle design. The vent system fully vents our bottle for vacuum-free feeding, which we call positive-pressure flow, similar to breastfeeding. As the baby feeds, air is channeled from the nipple collar through the vent system, bypassing the breastmilk or formula, to the back of the bottle. Air never mixes with the breastmilk or formula which minimizes oxidation and helps maintain essential nutrients like vitamins C, A and E. Babies feed more comfortably because the vent system allows them to nurse without fighting the negative effects of a vacuum or the discomfort of ingesting air bubbles. This helps to reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping, and gas. The breastmilk or formula flows freely, without nipple collapse.

Features

  • Vacuum free feeding - like breastfeeding
  • Helps maintain vitamins C, A & E plus lipids
  • Easy to clean, dishwasher safe.BPA Free

After trying many bottles that did not have as many parts (with all 3 of my children), I always ended up going back to Dr. Brown's bottles! I used them until my babies were about 6 months old or so, when they can transition to some solid foods and can better accept a "regular" bottle, such as Gerber or Evenflo. It only takes a minute or two to clean the extra vent pieces, and you just have to make sure that if you're mixing powdered formula & water when you're out and about, that you have the storage caps with you and have a clean surface to put the vent pieces down on while you're mixing the bottle up. They are mid-priced, not the cheapest but certainly not the most expensive, and they do not leak while you're feeding your baby and the best part--these bottles do not cause gas or discomfort! I've never needed to use burp cloths with any of my kids while using these bottles, they are wonderful. Worth the extra few minutes of cleaning or the extra effort it takes to mix formula up when you're out.

I have had 3 babies in the last 4 years and I have tried so many different brands of bottles. Of course I was trying to cut cost by buying cheaper bottles with my last son who is now 9 months old and the nipples kept getting nasty. I would just throw them away and go buy new bottles. (I buy 6 new bottles per month.) Finally I had enough and chose Dr.Brown blue bottles, hoping because they are more expensive I wouldn't have this problem. Two weeks later and the nipples are still good. BUT these bottles leak like crazy! Every night my sons bedding is soaked from the bottle leaking, which this never happened with the cheap bottles. SO disappointed with these bottles!!

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr. Brown's 8oz 3pk Bottles - Blue:

I love Dr Brown's bottles, they are all we used, but the colored bottles are a big mistake. The problem is the measurements on the side of the bottle are the same color as the bottle, so it makes it very hard to read when trying to make a bottle, especially during those blurry eyed 2am feedings...although not as cute, stick to the clear bottles.

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr. Brown's 8oz 3pk Bottles - Blue:

We tried many bottles and nipples before our gassy son decided he liked Dr Browns standard. We he was a newborn we use the smaller 4oz bottles which are great, but now that he consumes more milk we offer the larger 8oz bottles. The bottles are a bit more difficult to clean because the inner valve, however it's totally worth it. Our baby experienced less gas instantly when I began using Dr Browns. Our baby is breastfed and drinks expressed milk during the day time. When he was a newborn he would take in a lot of air due to over active let-down, which again was immediately solved with Dr Browns.... BEST bottles ever!!!!

The colored bottles are great for my twins. At 3am when I am half asleep its so easy to grab a blue or pink bottle rather than try to figure out which one has more (they are on different formulas and amounts)!!

Comments about Dr. Browns Dr. Brown's 8oz 3pk Bottles - Blue:

I use these bottles everyday. My son has only used Dr Brown's bottles. My pediatrician recommended them because my son was diagnosed with reflux while in the hospital. He doesn't get as gassy with them and he doesn't have as much problem with his reflux when he uses these bottles. The fact that these are blue is a little perk for mom and :-)
