I saw this in a BRU catalog and was so excited to try it. Cutting up my baby's food is such a pain; I wanted to find something that would make things easier for me. I went to the store especially for this item. Too bad it is such a disaster. The food--no matter what kind--is mashed in the grid-like lid. Might as well mash the food with a fork! I'm trying to teach my baby to eat food with different consistencies, so this product is worthless for anything other than pureeing. I tried grapes, soft chicken, hard boiled eggs, pinto beans, steamed butternut squash, and cooked ravioli.

The lid does not stay on, so it's not even worth keeping around as a travel container. I bought the other larger divided container with the freezer pack, and it works great. I'm surprised that they were both made by the same company!

Do NOT waste your time or money on this product. I had high hopes and was highly disappointed. It does not cut anything, I tried to cut strawberries, steamed carrots, hard cheese, and various other typical food consumed by an 11 month old, and it was the same result every time, it just mashes the food without cutting it, and to make a bad product worse, it is nearly imposable to clean and the cutting lid assembly is difficult to put on and once you get it on it doesn't stay on.

I have a baby girl and wanted to make her the same food the family was eating. Being overwhelmed by the bigger "systems" for making a lot of food, I opted for this so that I could just make her what I was cooking my older boys. It works great! The fact that it cuts right into the container AND comes with a travel lid is such a plus! I loved the price and simplicity. I would highly recommend it for those who want to make one or two meals at a time in just a few minutes. I bought the food mill and steamer too - all of which empty into a container as well. So clever!

I thought this product was a great find but was extremely disappointed with it. It's a great idea, but there's no follow through with this idea. The lid is really hard to keep reattached once you take it off the first time. If you're not careful in keeping the chopping lid on, it won't even cut. My biggest issue was trying to get it clean. You can't just stick this in the dishwasher for easy cleaning. You have to hand wash to get the blades clean. And after all that hassel, the blades started to rust after the first use. Overall worst baby product I have ever used.
