I tried these bottles with my now 3 year old son when he was 1. Used 2 other brands was not very happy with the quality of the products, i.e.. leakage and how it let in lots of air. Anyway, a friend suggested to use these and I loved them and so did my son! They are durable, no leakage, no air and easy to clean.

I'm due in Nov. with my second child and looking forward to starting fresh with these bottles once again!

My cousin gave me all of her glass born free bottles she used them through 2 babies, an I have been using them on my daughter. I have also boughten the plastic 1s. I've never had a problem with build up of any sort as long as you wash them properly an after every use. I always scrub mine with one of the baby bottle brushes an use mild soap. An every week I use a pot of hot water an sanitize them that way. Never got any type of build up. These are amazing bottles I love the style an the venting system. And I've never had to buy any type of replacement part, an I don't think my cousin did either. I will say this they have never been through the dishwasher, I just don't think they would get as clean, hand washing in my personal feeling gets every nook an cranny possible. It will leak if you don't put the plastic thing in before you put the nipple on, I forgot 1 time an formula will go every where, so other than my fault I've never had a leak. I also used these when I pump breast milk an they did just fine holding up when I would set the bottle in hot water to warm the breast milk up. Another reason these are awesome because they do a good job a storing your breast milk as well since all the bottles come with this lid an you can screw the nipple thing on top of it. This prevented me from having to buy milk storage containers. So it saved me money in the end for that as well.

I used these bottles/nipples for my 4 year old when he was a newborn. I'm now due in August and making sure I stock up once again. I loved how the nipples came in different sizes and stages.

If you use formula these bottles are the WORST! I'll tell you why...Once you have had the bottles for a few weeks the silicone part that is part of the venting system will develop little crust spots of formula, like little barnacles. Also the little nubby part will get tears from washing. It would be no big deal if 1) this didn't cause the bottles to leak 2)if the part was readily available for replacement.I have heard that it is when the aforementioned part tears that the bottle starts to leak, but the barnacles seem like they could be the culprit since they accumulate where the part comes in contact with the bottle rim. They basically form when they come in contact with the powder formula so if you are scooping formula into the bottle and some gets on the inside rim of the bottle you are sure to ruin the part that I am talking about. None of this would be a big deal if the venting system parts were readily available. Even at $5 or $10 I would have bought them. They are sold out all over the web and are rarely on [@]. Not to mention that the venting system is a pain to wash. I bought tons of these bottles and now they are useless because they all need replacement parts. How hard could it be for the parts to be made to satisfy demand? They have been out of stock for months and months. I have come to the conclusion that it is just a ploy to get people to buy new bottles. Pretty sickening for a company that is sold at Whole Foods and pretends to be all green. I am going to try the Think Baby bottles even though my baby is getting older and I shouldn't have to buy a whole new set of bottles. I will let you know how Think Baby works out. So far they look good with the venting system included in the nipple.
