              I just tried to setup my sons new iLive docking station (a Christmas present), and it will not play videos without a TV connected. The ONLY reason I purchased this was so he could rotate his iphone on the dock (a great and unique feature) to watch videos. There should be a simple way to toggle (on/off) between sending the video to the composite output on the back of the unit. I noticed that on the online manual (pg7) there used to be a remote included with this unit that did that. Remote is no longer included with purchase. I felt mislead by the text right on the box - which clearly states: " Rotate the dock to display videos in full-screen landscape..."Unfortunately, I will be returning this docking station tomorrow.
