It's a good deal if you pay anything less than the price on the box. This can be used for all apps such as games, music and video, and not limited to eBook only. The amount will be added to your balance in your leap frog connect account.

The bonus app is a $5 app, and you can select from : Land Animal Flash card, Sea Animal Flash Card, Spanish Flash Card, Leap Frog eBook 2 (part of a few episodes, which you have to pay),and Harmony Music. The box contains 2 separate codes, but you can't just use one code by itself. When you enter first code, it will ask you to enter the other code. If you are thinking about giving away the free bonus code, don't, because it won't work without the download card code.

I bought a lot of these download card, and too bad I already paid to buy some of the free bonus app and can't use it for anything else or give it away. Such a waste. Also when you first entered the code, it will ask you to pick your bonus app right away on the same screen. I don't remember what I owned, so I click on an app, and then realized I already owned that! The system doesn't recognize my "purchase history" and tells me I already own that. Seriously, how do you expect a busy parent to remember all the apps she bought for her child.

Also there was an incident where I tried to enter the code 3 times in a row and it says "invalid". I made sure I entered the correct code. However on the 4th time, it is valid. It's like a gamble, and I am not sure if Leap Frog will protect your "download card purchase". It says on the box "Once opened, it is not valid for return". The two codes on the card are visible, meaning you don't have to scratch them off to reveal the code.

Another reason I am not satisfied is that the company advertised a "Bonus App" included, but no where in the box that it tells you what apps can you choose from. After I open the box, you still can't find the list. Why is it so secretive? Then when you enter the code, it asked you to select your free app right away. Why don't the company tell you what free apps are included? That way I can look at my history to see what I already have, and select the one I don't.

If you are not getting a deal on this download card, you might just avoid all the hassle and use your credit card to buy the app.

Well, as the previous reviews state, that great bonus app code that was worth [$] on anything you liked, was too good to be true and apparently a mistake on leapfrogs part. They have corrected the error and the bonus is now a code for a 5 dollar app; you only have a choice of maybe 4 or 5 apps and they are not good ones...flash cards (there are only 2 of them); harmonies game (which is the ONLY 5 dollar game offered in their system) and then some ebook that is part of a series but you only get one.Making this "must have" card not such a great deal anymore. Still, ifyou are able to snag it for less than twenty five dollars; you are essentially gettting [$] worth of apps..just know that last 5 will not be a great one of your choice. BUmmer. I am happy i downloaded my codes as soon as I received them b/c I was able to get the bonus 25 on one set but not the rest. Sometimes deals are really too good to STAY true!

FYI for thos wondering, all the bonus apps being sold under Creativty, Ebooks, or Games; you do NOT have to purchase those specific products, you can use the code for any download.

The best!! I've purchased the one pictured above and the "Game App download card" (Nemo on it). Both had "bonus app included!*" marked on them and each gave me an extra [$] as the "bonus" app. That's [$] worth of apps for [$] in each one! The "Creativity" ones with Mickey on it in the store work as well. You can use any 3 of those cards towards whatever apps you want in the App Store. The Ultra eBook card above is the only one available on the website.

This is a GREAT buy!! $50 of apps for $25!!
Less change of losing game cartridges and breaking the leappad, unless you get the game cartridge for less then $25.
Just remember you do have a limit on the apps space in the leappad. However once you sync it online I don't think you will lose any apps and can can't apps off and replace with new apps.
