so useful, compact design, and simple styling as to blend in. we breast feed, so her poo is not so smelly, so not sure how well it keeps the smell in, but it seems like it would do a great job. requires special diaper bags, but we have found them in every store with a big baby section

One of the best gifts I received at my baby shower. It's so easy to use and so conveinent. There is no smell at all, it's simple to change the bag(I change it once a week) and its not big at all so it doesn't take up a lot of space. My mother has always been against these types of things because she never saw the point but even she has admitted she loves how great it has been to have. Would highly recommend this.

This pail would have a 5 star rating, but....
-trash bags fill up way too fast
-coupons inside box were expired

Other than that....I love it. Easy to use and I don't have any nursery odors, other than my sweet baby.

I registered for the Diaper Genie and was so excited about it. I opened it and it was already broken, it looked very cheaply made so I exchanged it for the Arm and Hammer Diaper pail. I love it so far, I could not smell the dirty diapers at all. I love the fact that I don't have to tie it in a knot to dispose(the diaper Genie). Glad I got this one instead!

As far as diaper pails go this is the best. Unlike the diaper genie that twists the trashbag after every diaper giving you a sausage-link-line of dirties, this just twists the top bag to prevent stink from coming out. AND the arm & hammer scent on top sprinkles a little bit on top everytime. The only con I would say is as my daughter gets bigger im changing these bags every week! I just wish the refills were cheaper.

The product is good, and very handy for the newborn phase when diaper changes are very frequent. However, overall this product is not necessary. A regular trash can will do and the smelly diapers can go straight to the outside trash (i.e. garage or wherever your can is stored).

It was MONTHS before I ever smelled anything at all from this pail, which was oddly...when the baby started eating real food! ;)
When you get the full bag out, stink escapes of course, and sometimes when putting another diaper in before it's full. This is if you aren't wise enough to hold your breath a few seconds. I usually spray Lysol inside the container when I switch bags anyway.
It's likely impossible for any product to eliminate ALL diaper stench (unless you take every dirty straight outside the house), and I can't imagine anything out there doing better than this. I've never had to touch an old dirty diaper trying to replace bags or any other hangups, so I'm very pleased I opted for this instead of the diaper genie. Both seem to be very popular and with similar ratings, but after using the genie with my nieces and dealing with the atrocious residual odors, I opted for Arm & Hammer--win.
Refills aren't as cheap as I'd like, but I can manage; plus, the five boxes I got at my shower lasted almost a year! Then the diapers got bigger, haha.

This is awesome! keeps babys room from smelling like icky diapers, easy to use and holds up to a weeks worth of diapers too!!

The smell was contained at first but just opening the door to remove the bag leaves a heavy odor. The biggest problem was when I would put a diaper in and then try to close the top. Many times, it just wouldn't shut until I banged on it which not only allowed odor to continue to leak until it was completely closed but eventually (you guessed it) the lid lock broke. Now it doesn't click shut. I've been researching but it seems that all of them start to smell after a while no matter what you do. I really think it is the that the bags are not thick enough to retain the odor.

Love it. I can keep it in my kitchen, no smell at all. Only thing I found to be on the down side was when you are removing the bag of diapers, it does smell and the smell lingers for a few minutes in the plastc container.
