This nightlight uses a filament bulb. It looks dangerous with the glowing filament clearly visible and puts out quite a bit of heat that would be too hot for small hands. In this day of LEDs I was surprised to see this when my girlfriend brought it home. Other reviews report on having to replace the bulb frequently. I would not recommend this just based on my cursory use of it.

The price is good and they work well. I have one in my daughters room and one in the hall on the way to her room. It really helped for late night feedings. The only problem is everytime I unplug them the light burns out! So I have to keep buying new bulbs. Other then that they worm great.

With our little one on the way I've been looking for a sensored night light and this one is perfect...especially since it's a 2 Pack! We have one in the nursery and one in the bathroom. The nursery is about 12x12 and it illuminates the whole room! We have a crib, changing table and we're going to put a glider and ottoman in the nursery this week but I'm pretty sure that shouldn't drown out the light as it's on the other side of the room. Very pleased with this purchase...and no bumping into stuff during those midnight feedings!!
