It's powered by a rechargeable internal battery and controlled by a matching 5-button remote controller that doubles as a charger. The controller has a retractable USB and requires a standard USB port to recharge. A 30-minute recharge gets you 15 minutes of continuous Trekbot play. this is an astounding product for the whole family. i have been collecting and reviewing rc vehicles and androids and this is one of the coolest. i think it is cool because it is very unpredictable. it doesnt always do what you want but will make you smile at what it does instead. i speacialise in helicopters and cars and robots are not realy my thing but this surprised me. over all an amazing product and love how the color decides what channel it is on for multiple robots.

Boys love them. Directions were not clear how to charge it. USB needs to go into the port upside down, a green light will appear on the controller it will shut off when the bot is charged.
