      My daughter was so excited to get this doll. It does work as it states, but by the second time she used it in the bath the mermaid fin was ripping. We stored it as the directions recommended and she took great care of it for the two times she got to use it. It is a great concept but the material used to make it are very cheap.

        We got two of these dolls for our 5 and 6 year old girls for christmas and they love them. They can play with them in or out of the water,but there favorite place to play with them is in the bathtub wich is wondeful. The only problem that i have noticed so far is that the doll has to be very dry to stop moving which uses up battery life.

            Got his for my 4 year old for Christmas. She was very excited and it worked just like it shows. Of course it swims slowly, its one joint in the rubber tail. Makes it look very life-like...well, mermaid-like. Do have a little issue with it and going by the general decline in the quality of toys anyway... she suddenly turned on by herself and now we have to remove the batteries after every bath. Considering there are screws to be removed it's a bit of a pain... this is actually the 4th toy I've bought in the last year that has had something wrong with it but when its in the water its wonderful and my daughter loves her!

                I ordered three of these, one for each of my three pre-school aged children, and only ONE worked. With the cost of this item in mind, you would think the QC would be better -- imagine a Christmas morning for a 3 year old (actually two three year olds) who only wanted mermaids for Christmas and theirs didn't work... Come on!

                I bought it for my 8 year old daughter as a birthday gift. My daughter played with it in the bath tub. It hardly moved in the water. My daughter loved the design of the tail and so did I. My daughter told me after playing with it for a few minutes to take the batteries out because it was to loud. She is enjoying it without the batteries. I'm disappointed with this product.

                    Bought this for my daughter's 5th birthday. She played with it exactly 2 times before the batteries needed to be changed, then on the 3rd time it just quit working altogether! Not sure if I just got a defective one...going to try taking it back and hope for an exchange.

                      Happy surprise it actually works not real fast but really swims my daughter plays with it every night in the bathtub my five year old opened it and immediately got in the tub to try it and it has a really neat fin and nice doll worth the price.
