My 18 month old son loves to play with the lantern at his grandparents, so they decided to get him one of his own.

Although it looks and functions just like the real thing, it could use a couple of tweaks.

For example, as others have said, the light doesn't stay on for long which my son doesn't care for nor is the light that bright, unless the room is pitch black.

If the light would stay on for say 3-5 minutes instead of 1-2 minutes and the light more illuminating, even in a room with the lights on, then the toy would be superb!

I bought this for my 2.5 year old son because he likes to fall asleep with a dim light on in his room and the lantern he had just broke. I really liked this one but was very disappointed after I brought it home and found out that it only stays on for a minute and a half. If it would have noted that on the box rather than just "auto shut off" I wouldn't have purchased it.
