Great product overall; hair does not "stick" very well to top of the muppet's head, which frustrates my children, and puppet rod is difficult to keep in its hole in the hands. But for muppet fans and kids wanting to learn about puppetry, this is a very neat gift and is highly recommended.

There are lots of fun faces you can make with the velcro pieces of this toy. I've made a good handful of different muppets with it already. I don't understand why there isnt any velcro on the yellow feathery wig. It doesnt stay on its head real well unless you pin it on with a sewing pin or something. The round nose also has a hard time staying on especially when you're going nuts with the puppet as most Muppets tend to do. But aside from those faults, it's a lot of fun and makes for fun comrades for any Muppet fan!

We bought this for my son for Christmas at his request. Turns out he loves this puppet. It's quality made! The only thing he complained about is he would have preferred to have two sticks for controlling the hands. Other than that our puppet, or as he calls him "Phil" has been a favorite for my son and his little sisters.

I have bought two Whatnots from the FAO whatnot workshop online -- my niece, nephew & I love them. I thought about getting a third (the kits) from Toys'R'Us but after watching a couple youtube videos of those who bought the kits I'll save up my money and buy from FAO again. Here's the thing, the positive of the kits is that they have interchangeable parts -- that's also the negative. The videos I've seen the hair, the nose comes off when you move them around. The ones that come from the FAO workshop have their features permanently placed on the head, they don't come off. For some that may be a negative, but for us we love it. I don't want to have to worry that the body will get fuzzy after removing the velcro repeatedly like one review said. Now of course they are a better deal at T"R'U (price & you get more features) so that may work better for some. Luckily we did get one of ours at a sale price two years back which was the same price as these in the stores. They are tons of fun -- I just think if you want one for the long haul go the FAO route, if you're okay with the hair & stuff coming off then go this route. Also, T'R'U doesn't sell the green one we have which has the longer body, so it's easier for adults --- but I actually haven't had a hard time with the blue one like some have.

I got this one for myself. After watching the most recent Muppets movie in the theater my little brother & I became obsessed. I became obsessed because of nostalgia and he became obsessed because he just loved the Muppets. We decided to pick these guys up for creative purposes. (i.e. creating our own youtube videos paying tribute to the muppets)

We are both extremely pleased with the kits. We've had them for a few weeks now and we absolutely love them.

That being said there are a couple of things that should be noted about these muppets.

One is that they are not easy to manipulate when you're first starting off. We got both the blue guy and the orange one and the orange one seems to be a little easier to manipulate than this one, but they will both kill your hands/arms after extended use. It's nothing a little practice won't cure, though.

The other problem we are having is after repeated feature changes (changing eyes, noses) the fabric on the head is starting to... hmmm I don't know what word to use to accurately describe what is happening. The fabric is kind of pulling away from the body and creating this "fuzz" on the head. The problem that causes is this "fuzz" makes it difficult for the velcro on the bottom of the features (eyes/nose) to stick to the head. My brother is now having the problem where the noses just do not stick like they are supposed to and they fall off with a lot of movement when he is manipulating his Muppet. We will probably have to attach the nose w/ hot glue (like they do at the FAO Shwarz Muppet Whatnot Workshop) to get it to stay, which is unfortunate since we use these guys for different characters in our videos... as a whatnot is meant to be used. On my muppet, the orange one, this is not happening as extremely as on his. This is most likely because being a collector I'm a bit more careful in the way that I remove features from the Muppet's head/face whereas my little brother is 12 and he can be kind of careless with it since it's a toy to him. If you exercise caution when removing features from the face/head you may only experience this problem to a minimal degree.

Overall I'm EXTREMELY satisfied with these purchases and would recommend these to a Muppet fan or anyone who wants a good quality puppet for just about any purpose.
