Choosing the perfect crib was difficult for our first baby. We narrowed down the different styles, and decided we loved the idea of a convertable crib, and the traditional look of the dark wood and "sleigh bed" style. It was on sale, and we used a coupon, so we felt it was a great value. The more expensive cribs have harder wood, so it resists scratching, and supposedly lasts longer overtime, but with our budget, we went with this crib that has softer wood. We feel it will last us as long as it's well taken care of. We picked it up and my husband brought it home (tied to the roof of our SUV) and put it together, it was very easy assembly. Choosing a matress was easy, when you purchase a crib from Babies R Us, all of their mattresses and sheets do fit well. It is reccomended to purchase the toddler rail and bed rail right away, just incase it is no longer available. We just bought the toddler rail for now though. It looks really nice with the matching dresser in the nursery, and easy to decorate. Love this crib. :)

Very sturdy and easy to assemble. The color definitely is not expresso as indicated. This product is a cherrywood color, not the rich, deep chocolate shown in the room image. If you are looking for an expresso like I was, do not purchase this product.

It was easy to put together and looks great with the dresser. The color is definitely lighter than a traditional Espresso but it's actually what we originally wanted. Beautiful product!!

nice furniture but big mistake with colors. there is a definite difference in color between espresso latte and espresso. the latte is a little lighter and redder in tone, yet the box that it came in which states espresso latte has the same number at espresso. it def is not the same color though. you can even see the difference in color in the two on the website. be leery of this if you purchase this set and our picky about the matching color. even according to the simmons site it's different. major packaging error in my book
