The BRITAX ROUNDABOUT 55 convertible car seat is designed for children rear facing from 5 to 40 pounds and forward facing from 1 year and 20 lbs up to 55 pounds. The ROUNDABOUT 55 achieves revolutionary head safety through the use of BRITAX SafeCell Technology, integrated steel bars, and Versa-Tether that work together to minimize head excursion and reduce the risk of head injury during a frontal impact. The ROUNDABOUT 55 also incorporates BRITAX Side Impact Protection, offers a five-point harness, and multiple buckle and recline adjustments. A body pillow is provided for comfort.

• SafeCell Technology features SafeCells designed to compress in a crash, significantly lowering the center of gravity and counteracting the forward rotation of the child seat which normally propels the child toward the front seat
• Integrated Steel Bars strengthen the connection to the vehicle and reduce forward flexing of the child seat during a crash
• Energy-Absorbing Versa-Tether features a staged-release tether webbing to slow the forward movement, reducing the crash forces reaching the child, and a two-point attachment to minimize forward rotation while anchoring the top of the child seat
• Side Impact Protection comprised of deep side walls lined with energy-absorbing EPP foam distributes crash forces, shields from vehicle intrusion, and contains the head, neck and body
• Tangle-Free, Five-Point Harness distributes crash forces across the strongest parts of the body and provides a secure fit

I love Britax which is why I ordered this car seat. I received an email from Babies R Us 2 weeks after I had ordered it informing me that my order had been cancelled. Babies R Us never attempted to right the situation by offering other alternatives.

I got this for my youngest DD. I have another britax roundabout for my elder DD. Both of them love it. It is the right fit & is very comfortable. Fixing it was so easy & simple! They sleep very well in it. yes, would recommend to buy!

We love this seat. It is so comfortable and I feel that my daughter is very safe in it. We had a different brand before, and now i can see what the big deal of a Britax is. So easy to install, you can take off the shell to wash so easily, Very plush. WE have no comlaints. Amazed at how secure the seat is in your vehicle, it does not budge at all. We feel that our daughter is so safe. Highly recommend. The Silver design is beautiful and modern. We were worried that the black fabric would be too hot, but it's not at all. We love it!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Easy to install and doesn't take up as much space as it looks. Safety ratings speak for themselves and I can't put a price on my sons safety. Worth the money. I just wish it had a stationary base like the infant car seats for ease of transfer.

We bought this for my husband's car and the installation took FOREVER! We thought it would be easier since we had recently installed a Britax Marathon in my car. The level to check proper installation needs improvement. And it would've been nice if it reclined just a tad bit more. We had to use a beach blanket (just like with my car) to get the correct recline. LO is back facing still so hopefully when we switch it'll be easier. Still a good seat with a good price - use the coupon.

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
